Haw’she goin’ b’y? Alex Theriault here, Just wanted to give you all the heads up, today is my final morning show on Z97.9. Starting on Monday, I’m going to be ...helpin’ yah put the pedal to the metal at the other side of the scorecard. Myyup, Theriault is moving to weekday afternoons 3-7. With this move I'll be able to watch a full hockey game (Go Habs Go), spend more time with my family, be more active volunteering in the community and still be able to rock out and shoot the breeze with you on a daily basis. I’ll be putting my two cents into the daily music selection and bringing the same energy, positive vibes and local love to the airwaves as usual. So what’s up with mornings? Starting Monday morning BJ, Allie and Bobby Mac will be throwin’ the pot of coffee on and wakin’ you up with the BJ & The Morning Crew. I’ve been a fan of these guys for a long time and am absolutely psyched that they’re going to be here in the county. I met BJ at the jubilee a while back, I went to school with Allie (I know right, we actually went to school for this) and Bobby Mac is an arsehole. But he’s our arsehole now <3. Randi Chase is sticking around too for the middays; sorry I don’t have any off the wall nonsense to say about Randi. If I did, she’d probably punch me in the gut hahaha. I know you’ve gotten to know her over the past couple of years and can see how wicked she is. Scott George will still be here but he’ll be focused more on the behind-the-scenes aspect of things. He’ll also be doing the majority of the technical nerdy stuff around the office. You will still hear him from time to time filling in for Randi and I. I hope you all have a wicked weekend; I couldn’t be more excited about Bj & The Morning Crew coming to the county and I can’t wait to talk to ya on Monday afternoon. A Stellarton man has gone viral on YouTube thanks to his kindness, generosity and because he feeds dozens of racoons with 8 pound buckets of hot dogs. His last... video has over 10 million views in a week. Jim Blackwood has been rehabbing racoons for 20 years. He makes sure they have food and water and also treats them for disease, ticks, fleas and worms. "This was my wife's project and she died in 2003 of Cancer and begged me on her death bed to take care of her cats and her mother.
