Day 14ish of Mug Production: once the mug has completely dried out (greenware) it gets loaded in the kiln for the first firing (a bisque) which takes 14-16hrs then another 10hrs to cool. The bisqued mug then gets glazed. I start with the inside and let my underglaze dry overnight before I glaze the outside.
