The Royal Canadian Navy began the Second World War with 13 vessels and 3,500 sailors, and ended it as the third largest navy in the world with 373 ships and more than 110,000 sailors. My Grandpa, Alfred Windle Bampton, was one of them. He was a Petty Officer in the engine room on board 3 ships; the HMCS Camrose, the HMCS Bowmannville, and the HMCS Malaspina. Kari Ann Welcome to Evoke! We are excited to have you on board and that we will be offering more afternoon and weekend appointments! While Kari Ann awaits her registration, appointments with her cannot be billed through insurance but they will be offered at half of the regular fee for massage therapy. Kari Ann has a passion for holistic health and helping others achieve their personal wellness goals. She strives to provide patients with treatment that is both therapeutic and relaxing by applying a combination of orthopaedic and Swedish techniques. In the future she plans on focusing her practice and continuing education on treating neurological conditions. Arriving for a massage therapy appointment? Arrive at this side entrance. Your therapist will open the door for you at your scheduled appointment time. Chiropractic, Naturopathic and Acupuncture clients arrive at the usual (main) entrance. Everyone leaves out the main entrance. We implemented this to create one way traffic down our narrow hallway. ... Appointment times are staggered to minimize people congregating on the waiting area. Hooray, Hooray, the 19th of May! Evoke Wellness Centre is resuming in person care as of Today! We are starting a gradual return to work process. We want to ensure we are able to implement new policies & procedures and make adjustments to minimize risk to everyone. ... Please be patient. We know many of you have been in discomfort and want to get in for treatment as soon as possible. To be fair, we will start by rescheduling you in the order that your appointment was cancelled. Here are the main points you need to know: Pre-screening Reschedule your appointment if you have even mild symptoms of illness. We will relax our cancellation policy for day of cancellations due to symptoms and we request that you provide us with as much notice as possible. Utilize the self assessment tool found at healthlinkbc.ca Notify us if you have travelled outside of BC in the past 14 days. Be punctual Arrive on time for your appointment. Please do not show up early. If you are going to be late please call the office 604-287-3865 for further instruction. To reduce the flow of traffic, if you are arriving for a Massage Therapy appointment, please arrive at the entrance off of the driveway on 2nd avenue. Wait outside until your therapist opens the door at your scheduled appointment time to let you in. All appointments with other practitioners will use the usual entrance. Arrive alone You must arrive unaccompanied unless you are a minor or require personal assistance. Wear a mask Please arrive wearing your own mask. Any mask that covers your nose and mouth is acceptable. The idea is to keep your droplets to yourself. Wash your hands Sanitize your hands and/or gloves upon entry. Wearing gloves is fine but dirty gloves are no different than dirty hands. Respect physical distancing We have staggered appointment times to reduce the number of people in common areas but it is difficult to maintain 6 feet of distance in the hallway if passing. If possible, step aside and allow others to pass. Reception Stand behind the plexi glass barrier Use contactless payment whenever possible If you have more than one appointment to book please do so via email or phone

But I dont want people to believe that on the 19th of May, all of a sudden were back to normal. We are not going to be back to normal. Were going to start the process to bring back industries that were ordered shut by Dr. [Bonnie] Henry, and shell be revising her orders at the appropriate time.

There is a plan for plans but no plan as to when plans will be planned, however there is expected plan planning in the plans, just dont plan on making plans anytime soon... We are so excited to get back to work and we love they you are excited to get treatment! Heres whats happening... We have to wait for the provincially approved protocol from our regulatory bodies. Then we will reassess our policies and procedures and make appropriate modifications. Then we will call you... in order from when we ceased usual operations and cancelled your appointment. For example, our last day of scheduled appointments was March 17th and all hands on and face to face treatments were cancelled after that point. If you were booked and subsequently cancelled on March 18th you will be the first ones called to reschedule. If you have an appointment already scheduled after the day we resume operations - that is still your appointment provided you want to keep it. Things are going to be different, a new normal as Dr. Bonnie Henry states. We will be making adjustments to our schedules and the way we do business so we appreciate your patience. In order to act in the best interest of our clients, staff and community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Evoke Wellness Centre will be respecting the strong recommendation from our respective regulatory bodies to temporarily suspend practice. The clinic will continue to offer limited essential services. This primarily refers to consults with the Naturopathic Doctor as well as Counselling sessions. Where appropriate, these services will likely take place via the telepho...ne or similar means. Urgent Chiropractic care may be available on a case by case basis. Given the ongoing uncertainty that COVID-19 is causing around the world we wish to update you on the steps Evoke Wellness Centre is taking to ensure that the health and well being of our patients and staff. At this time, the public health risk associated with COVID-19 is low for Canadians (source: https://www.canada.ca//2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.ht) There is an increased risk to those aged 65 and o...ver, with compromised immune systems or with underlying medical conditions. We continue to monitor and follow the local, provincial and federal health authorities. We are taking the following measures to ensure best practices: - Please reschedule your appointment if you have been out of the country in the past 14 days, if you have had contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID_19 in the past 14 days or if you are feeling unwell. Cancellation fees will be waived for these reasons at this time. - Practitioners are governed by their regulatory Colleges and are required to maintain all standards of those Colleges and the Health Professions Act. - Increased frequency of cleaning with disinfectant in high touch areas. - Increased awareness about hand washing frequency and protocols. - Staff are asked to follow the same guidelines as patients with regards to staying at home in the event of any symptoms of being unwell or travel out of country. Linens are changed between every patient, hand hygiene will continue with industry standard (before and after each treatment and after handling used linens), and common surfaces will be sanitized regularly.
