In June we had the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of our @istddance Imperial Classical Ballet exam candidates! The results are outstanding and we are so proud of the students hard work and commitment to excellence! Special thank you to Ms. Joanne and the ballet team, Miss Haley, Ms. Andrea, Miss Jen and Miss Alexis for preparing the students. Bravo! @ Evolution Dance Company

We are so proud of our dancers inside, and outside the studio. With Covid changing the way we have all been doing things lately, we wanted to celebrate and congratulate all EDC dancers who graduated high school this year!

We had a special visit from Mickey Moose at the studio today as we helped our friends out at @project11wellness ! Project 11 is an amazing program designed to help support students and teachers in bringing mental health awareness and positive coping skills into their lives! Dance is an amazing way to de-stress, get exercise, and have fun!

Amazing job to all our soloists who competed virtually in Centre Stage Dance Challenge this past weekend! We a so proud of all of you! A special shout out to Zoey A. who received 2nd place overall with her Hip Hop solo in competitive 8 & under division! Way to go Zoey!!

We are so excited to be able to hold our popular Pre-School Dance Camp, August 10th - 14th! Any dancer who loves Disneys Frozen II will surely not be bothered by the cold in this fun, fancy + frozen dancing journey! The Fancy Freeze: A Frozen Adventure, takes tiny dancers on a fanciful expedition into the unexplored through ballet, jazz and creative movement. On their way to the annual Fancy Freeze dance party in the frozen forest, dancers will encounter icy dance adven...tures, wander through Whimsical Windy Woods, and even conquer Polar Peak! Through these challenges, they will keep their sense of adventure but also never stop being fancy! Full of whimsy, wit, adventure, fancy frocks, frozen crafts and more, this camp will crystallize into pure frozen fun! For dancers ages 4 & 5 at the time of camp. 9am - 11am each day. Registration for the 2020 - 2021 dance season opens tomorrow at 10am! Link in bio or head to our website to register! We are so excited to be back dancing in the studio this fall! Safety is our #1 priority and as a More Than Just Great Dancing licenced studio we follow a hierarchy of measures to create a Safer Studio environment. These include requiring students and staff who are ill to stay home, followed by frequent hand washing and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning and making curricular and facility adaptations to minimize contact and mingling. Happy Canada Day! We are taking a few days off to rest after our super fun Red Carpet Recitals. The office will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we will be back in the office on Friday!

Thank you to all of our amazing dance families for your support the past 3 1/2 months! When we were forced to close we made the decision to do our very best to keep our precious dance family strong and connected, even while apart. .... We started with our EDC On-Demand videos; Story-Times With Miss Jenna; live Zoom classes; and now our hearts are so full after finishing 5 days of individual recitals! . No one could have ever imagined that we would be in a situation where we couldnt host our traditional recital. When dreaming of what we could do instead, we decided that we wanted to be sure each dancer felt celebrated, special and loved. The Red Carpet Recital Experience did just that! . Thank you to everyone who participated! From the 1st performance to the 300th, each one of you performed your hearts out and we could not be any prouder! It made us so happy to welcome each dancer and their family safely back into the studio and reconnect after our time apart. . Thank you so much to Coralee and Rebecca from @redphotoco for being 100% all-in with this crazy idea from Day 1! You two are amazing! And thank you to @thefloralfixx for the beautiful roses and @creatingascene_wpg for your awesome decor! . Finally, thank you to our instructors for making each dancer feel so special and loved. You are the heart and soul of EDC and we could not be more grateful for each of you! The love you have for your students shines through in all you do!
