Although we are all finding ourselves at home at lot more lately, it is still important to keep active to maintain both physical and mental health. With gyms being closed and outdoor temperatures dropping, here are a few easy tips to stay active at home, with little or no equipment: - Try walking briskly around the house or up and down the stairs - try taking work calls while walking around, rather than sitting; - Turn on some music and DANCE for 10-15 minutes with your chil...dren or spouse; - Dust off that old skipping rope - jumping rope is excellent cardio; - Find a Yoga video on YouTube; - Squats, sit-to-stand from a chair, wall push-ups, lunges or single-leg step-ups are excellent at home resistance exercises; - Tins of beans, bags of rice, bottled water, or even small children are great dumbbell substitutes; - Need some motivation? Try a Zoom workout with a friend. See more
Due to the extended closure, all swimming lessons are now cancelled. You will be contacted next week to arrange for a refund or credit to your account. All Memberships will be extended to compensate for the days we are closed.
The access road to the Recreation Centre has been relocated and is now in use. The new road is for vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The road previously used to access the facility is now barricaded and closed. All traffic must now utilize the newly constructed roadway. ... Please continue to use caution in this area and watch for pedestrians.
To support Ontario Lockdown efforts, the Evolution Recreation Centre must close December 26th to January 9th.

AQUATOTS!! Ages 0 to 3 years. Tuesdays @ 10:00am This is a parented class that introduces your child to basic swimming techniques, water safety and fun in the pool! Drop-ins are $7.50 (no registration required)... INFORMATION FOR AQUATOTS: - Please come with you and your child already in your swimsuits. - We have a capacity for our change rooms, so this will help to avoid congestion. - The change rooms will be available, but there may be a wait to get through at the end of the lesson. - If you are able to dress over your suit while on deck, it will save you having to wait for the showers.
Swimming Lessons look a little different this year, but we’re just so glad to be able to see our swimmers...and, this year, their parents!

As our Open Swims get busier, swimmers are reminded that we have a 4 person capacity for the change rooms and 1 person (or family) for showers. Before choosing to exit the pool, it is best that you check with the Lifeguard to confirm you can access the change room. At times, you may need to wait a few minutes to allow others to exit the change rooms. If you are able to exit the pool without accessing the change rooms, that will help to eliminate your wait time (ie: towel dry on deck, put clothing over your swimwear, and shower at home).

Senior's Curling starts October 20th @ 9:30 !! $45 for the season or$6.50 drop in. *wear a mask *bring a broom *lockers can be used if you have a lock. (day-use... is discouraged) All Covid 19 safety rules will be reviewed the first day. See more

Did you know it’s also effective in dealing with depression, anxiety, and stress? People who exercise regularly tend to do so because it gives them an enormous sense of well-being. They feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, and feel more relaxed and positive about themselves and their ...lives. And you don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to reap the benefits. Research indicates that modest amounts of exercise can make a difference. No matter your age or fitness level, you can learn to use exercise as a powerful tool to feel better.
STROKE IMPROVEMENT IS BACK! Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm Starting October 7th A lengths-based fitness class. Our Instructor, Julia, will design weekly programs to help develop your cardiovascular fitness, strength and endurance.... Please note, we have a 5 person max. for this class (one person per lane). We are not accepting reservations. It will be first-come, first-serve for admission.
