Lisa's results over 16 weeks... 143lbs 125lbs. So proud of this hard working momma "In September 2017 I purchased my first pair of what I call fat pants. I had hit my lowest point and was so disappointed in myself. That’s when I reached out to Katherine for help. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for her and all that she has done for me. She is truly an amazing person and trainer. Katherine’s diet and exercise plans are easy to follow. If I had any questions, she... was quick to respond. If I had concerns or was having a bad day, she was quick to provide support and encouragement. I trusted in her process and it paid off." All workouts were done from home with limited equipment! Shoot me a message if you're ready to change your life
Do you suffer from PCOS? ... Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome usually have a higher than normal level of insulin. Insulin is an essential hormone that assists in turning sugar(glucose) into energy. The problem with high insulin levels though, is that it causes women to produce more androgen hormones. High androgen levels lead to weight gain, especially in the belly, and make it extremely difficult to lose weight. PCOS can be manageable through lifestyle and diet, especially if you are overweight and suffer from PCOS. Just losing 10% of your body weight can drastically improve symptoms and may even bring your period back if you've lost it. Some crucial foods to avoid: anything dairy, processed and packaged foods, refined and simple sugars, saturated fats. Some foods to include: leafy green veggies, all other veggies, fruit, lean meats, complex carbs like quinoa and brown rice. B vitamins are essential for ladies with PCOS so you may even want to consider a B complex supplement. If you have PCOS and are struggling to lose weight, let's chat!!! #pcos #womenshealth #livingwithpcos #kelownanow
Beautiful things happen when we commit to ourselves, to our growth, and to our well being. A personal trainer can help you set some realistic goals, a timeline and a plan of attack. If you’re looking to make this commitment to yourself, if you’d like to feel better and be more confident, if you’ve been stuck in a rut, if you are tired of saying tomorrow or next week or Monday, If fitness has been on your back burner for weeks, months or even a lifetime... I would love to meet you and hear your story. Send me a message or comment below #NEWYEAR #NEWYOU : @arisakasha
