Many of you are using your time to do some household cleaning and packing items to donate. Due to COVID-19 we are currently unable to accept donations at this time however, we look forward to welcoming your generous donations when it is safe to do so. Please set your items aside until we are open for business once again. Donations left at the gates are considered illegal dumping and create a very real and costly problem for clean-up. This decision was made with the health and safety of our valued customers, donors, staff and volunteers in mind. We now ask that you please do not drop off your donations at either location until it is safe for us to re-open. For your safety the federal and provincial governmen...t is asking that all non-essential traffic be avoided, please stay home unless it is to get fundamental supplies. The donations we receive are paramount to the work we do to support the Caledon community and at this time, we are unable to collect the donations that have been dropped off at our closed gates, and it is heartbreaking for us to see these items spoil in the elements. Please set your donations aside until the COVID-19 situation has been stabilized as that is when our Caledon neighbors will be in the greatest need, while we work to rebuild our community. With each passing day we all see the importance of being agile to respond to new expert recommendations. At Caledon Community Services (CCS) we’re forever focused on maintaining the health and well-being of our clients, staff, volunteers and many other guests in our workplaces across Caledon. This attention to health and well-being is even more important during the diffic...ult way ahead. It is our hope to reopen our stores on Tuesday, April 7th. However, we recognize that the COVID19 situation is a dynamic one and we must remain agile and responsive to changing expert advice. Let’s Talk COVID19 The current situation that countries around the world find themselves in, is unprecedented, and like many organizations across the country, we are continually monitoring current events and taking our cues from local, provincial and federal authorities as well as experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We at Evolve Caledon, are committed to the health & safety of our customers, volunteers, employees..., and the members of our community who rely on us. Our team is actively evaluating our current policies and processes and will be making necessary adjustments in the coming days. Currently, we have cancelled our Winter Blowout sale that was scheduled at both Evolve Lifestyle & Evolve Clothing this Thursday. We are continuing to accept donations at both locations but have adjusted our method to take social distancing into consideration whenever possible.
