Plants have become the new pets! They fulfill a desire to connect to nature, have positive psychological effects on the caretaker, increase levels of happiness, & have been known to have a relaxing effect. Try giving a plant as a gift to someone you love - it may last for years!

Sustainable and ethical living are becoming increasingly popular. We can easily get lost in buying and spending more to help the planet. Environmental grief can take a toll on those of use who value wildlife and a stable climate but there is plenty of evidence to show that eco-consciousness is good for mental health. Some reasons why opting to be greener results in positive results: 1. When we contribute to our communities and the planet, we become part of something bigger ...than ourselves. 2. It’s important to take cues from nature (and our bodies) - by being mindful outdoors, we get pulled in to our bodies/the present moment instead of relying only on our brains. 3. Amid wild nature, we feel more connected. 4. Knowledge is power. 5. Eco-consciousness offers a free lesson in self-trust. 6. Low-carbon activities also make you physically healthier. 7. Environmentalism makes you better at complexity. 8. Being green teaches us to embrace minimalism. Check our more here: https://buff.ly/2SLdFxL

Have troubles sleeping at night? Try getting ready for bed by candlelight (and turn off electronics!) - our circadian rhythms (bodies natural asleep/awake cycle) are greatly disrupted by modern life. Doing things by candlelight may help with setting your sleep hormones right. #wellness #wellbeing #sleep #health
