Virtual Tournament extended to Nov 15th

We’ve run into some distressing news today. Yellowhead County’s confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to a level where the YKCS school has been advised to cancel all of their extracurricular activities for this week and the next. We already had Nov 11 off, but that means that Karate Class tomorrow (Nov 4) and Nov 9th has to be cancelled. We will be advised next week, and I will be sure to let all of you know. I have sent this message out on Facebook, as well as email. If you ...didn’t get an email, please email me @ [email protected], and I will verify that we have your correct address. This cancellation is not entirely surprising. The financial structure of the club has changed for the season, and we are prepared for this. Normally, we run from September to the end of April. Any cancelled classes, such as the two that just happened, will be added onto the end of the year. So, we will be running into May or maybe even longer, without any additional cost to any members. The virtual tournament is still a go. This is frustrating, but there’s nothing to be done about the cancellations. We understand that this year is challenging, and we feel that. For those that want to join on-line classes, they are free to all paid club members, and can be found at shintani.ca.
