Surrounded by 16th century Ottoman walls, men and women go about their day inside the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City.
There’s no shortage of fresh fruits and vegetables in Israel, being that it’s one of the healthiest eating countries in the world, yes we’re like talking like top 5. The Carmel Market, or Shuk HaCarmel, is Tel Aviv’s largest and busiest market located right in the centre of the city. And like any huge market I’ve been to, you can find pretty much anything you desire. However what stood out to me was the freshness, oh and the endless varieties of olives and tomatoes
An elderly man browses through one of the many markets in Tel Aviv by bicycle.
Wandering the back alley’s of Jaffa city, just south of Tel Aviv. Although modernized, most of the original stone buildings still stand as houses and shops today. Archaeological evidence shows that the site was inhabited as long ago as 7500BC and was established as a city at around 1800BC.
Exploring the more modern side of Jaffa, in Tel Aviv, Israel. Modern as in, the part that wasn’t built in 7500 BCE.
This place! Throw all your preconceived ideas out the window and add Israel to your list. The food, the culture, the weather, the beaches. Looking down the entire stretch of Tel Aviv’s waterfront from Frishman Beach to the old city of Jaffa, this 100 year old city is a mash of weird buildings and people from all over the world. Not to mention it sits on the Mediterranean. Need I say more?
