How to Handle Rejection Rejection can hurt, and it can be difficult to look at as a redirection. Whether it’s from friends, colleagues, romantic interests, or job opportunities, here are some ways to deal with it in a healthy way. 1. Acknowledge your emotions; rather than being embarrassed, or dismissive, face what you’re feeling in order to become more comfortable with rejection. Some great ways to acknowledge these feelings are by journaling, meditating, or talking ...to a trusted friend or therapist. 2. Look at rejection as a sign of growth; rejection is evidence that you are growing beyond your comfort zone - so give yourself a pat on the back for taking brave chances! The more opportunities you take, the more life will present itself to you with unexpected opportunities! 3. Remember your positive qualities; when feeling low after an unpleasant rejection, remember to practice self-compassion, and remind yourself that no one is perfect. Celebrate your other accomplishments to gently shift your perspective! 4. Learn from your experience; rejection can oftentimes highlight areas in which you could work on. For instance, if you are ever rejected from a position for a job, make it a habit to ask for feedback so you can learn for the next time. What tips & tricks work for you when dealing with rejection? Happy Monday, everyone! Here is today’s quote of the day: Today I trust that just ‘being’ is enough. Rather than making myself crazy and tired by trying to find the answer, or see the picture, or work out how it will all work out. I choose, instead, to focus my energy on staying present enjoying each moment as it presents itself. I open my eyes to life, as it is, right now. I know the gift of clarity will come when the time is right. @nglpdesigns #exaltedmindandwellness #selfcare #selfcaretips #mindfulness #mindfulliving #mindful #mondaymotivation #mondayvibes #beigeaesthetic #beigeaesthetics #creamaesthetic

How to Avoid Arguments Oftentimes, arguments never actually solve a problem - it has the effect of leaving both sides thinking they’re right times a hundred. Here are some things to say to avoid an argument from occurring: 1. Let me think about that.; saying this works in two ways - it buys you time to cool off & it lets the other person feel you are taking their thoughts into consideration. 2. You may be right.; saying this may be hard to do, but it shows willingn...ess to compromise. You no longer are competing with the other person, and aren’t completely agreeing with them either. 3. I understand.; using a little empathy goes a very long way in arguments. Understanding doesn’t have to mean you agree, or that you have to solve the problem. Oftentimes, hearing this powerful statement is all it takes to diffuse an argument. 4. I’m sorry.; apologizing can be difficult to do, but can mean a lot to the other person. For example: I’m sorry my comment came across that way. It’s not what I meant. Can you think of other ways to avoid arguments? Let us know what works for you in the comments down below! Journaling Prompts Journaling can be incredibly therapeutic, as it evokes mindfulness by enabling writers to remain present while keeping perspective, as well as a ton of other benefits. Here are some mindful prompts to get you started: Become conscious of the little voice in your head. What do you notice it telling you? Write them down. Replace each negative thought with a positive one. What things are stressing you out right now? List them all down. Categorize th...em by importance/urgency. Starting with the most, what steps can you take to deal with each of them? What exaggerated/negative beliefs do you hold about yourself? Next, pretend your loved one is telling you these things about themselves. What would you say to them? When do you feel your best? Listen them down, and take notice of any similar themes. What small steps can you take to feel your best every day? Make bucket list of ten things/places you’d like to do/go in your life. Next, close your eyes for five minutes, and really imagine each one happening to you in that moment. Can you think of any more prompts?
