Sunburst fur ruffs are mostly worn by Inuit women and girls. Modelled here is a Mother Hubbard-style dress with a wolf ruff and wolverine lining, cuffs and hem. The kamik boots are seal.

Traditional Inuit parkas: seal (left) and caribou (right). Decorative parkas like these are for special occasions; working parkas are plain. For casual wear, jeans and sneakers have largely replaced pants and boots made from fur.
