They are a Canadian company with over 150 years of experience, and a leading provider of custom designed metal building systems. We have been working with Robertson for the past 15 years! Designed to meet all local and national building codes, Robertson buildings can include mezzanines, facades, parapets, canopies, roof top units, and cranes. Traditional architectural finishes such as glass, wood, masonry, stucco, and brick can be incorporated into the design as well. The City of Brandon - Local Government Water Treatment Plant is getting an upgrade! Construction on the first stage started earlier this fall and will include the construction of a new chemical storage building and staff facility west of the existing plant. This will also include a ring road for tanker truck access. Excel is excited to be a part of the new construction of two multi-unit affordable housing buildings in downtown Brandon for the Westman Youth For Christ Common Spaces Program. This project will bring 30 affordable housing units to the community (for seniors, young families), as well as 14 top-floor units developed for young people breaking the cycle of addictions. On the third floor, we will have more secure housing for young people that want to stay away from the negat...ive influences in their lives," outlines Dwayne Dyck, Executive Director for Westman Youth For Christ. "They are coming out of addiction treatment programs wanting to hold on to their sobriety, and are needing a safe secure place to live while they rejoin the community and focus on making the program work. #TBT to the first Greenstone project we did in Brandon! The 5.5" Greenstone ICE Panel was used as the structural exterior walls for the 6,200 sqft front office, which was designed in a unique Y shape. The ICE Panels supported the wood truss roof system and interior and exterior finishes were applied to the panels. Check it out!

Weve got that #MondayMotivation! The concrete crew is hard at work out in Rivers, MB on this future hog barn. Summer is such a short season, and we are taking full advantage of these sunny days!

Things have sure changed over the years! Today we are throwing it back to 2011 when we decided it was time to expand the Excel office. Going back even farther, the building was originally Anderson Auto Parts, which Excel purchased in 2005, moving the operations of the company from the Dornns home to their new digs at 4000 Richmond Ave East. Six years later, it was time to expand! We added a large shared work space, which was originally occupied by three employees, and now hosts 6 staff members from project management, marketing, shipping and purchasing. Two offices were also added for both estimating and procurement, along with a brand-new boardroom!

This project makes our heart happy! It was a great team of local talent that really brought this space together. It's so much fun seeing the finished product. Congrats to Bushidi Heart Clinic! April Showers bring May.. Potato Sheds? We have been working with Spud Plains Farms LTD in Carberry, Manitoba to add a third potato storage building to their already impressive set up. Did you know that they grow over 4,500 acres of potatoes?! We can't wait to see those green fields again!

Almost Done! The nearly completed Jordan's Principle facility in Sandy Bay First Nation, Manitoba is looking forward to serving the community. Jordan's Principle, a child first initiative program spreading across Canada, is named after Jordan River Anderson.
