Did my first men's cut ... just cut the beard to get it off the way, it's unfinished since we haven't had any beard trimming lessons yet. But the hair cut we just learned is the basic men's square graduation. Kind of ends up looking like that beach boy type of style. Haven't updated lately, just been reviewing things we have learned and exams exams exams! ... almost done level 101 ... going to be in 102 soon!! Another one from design class a couple of days ago!! ... recreating a bit of a higher fashion style... I love design and the possibilities that come with imagination!

Recreating a basic style ... however mannequin hair is horrible to work with ... looks pretty okay for the scraggly little hairs I had to work with!!

A late update ... last week was colour applications!!! ... with conditioner! Can't wait to be able to use real color and learn formulas for creating greatness!!!!

Cute braid ... not sure if I'd make it so chunky towards the bottom but that's the great thing about this industry!! You can always tweak things to make something simple so different

Today at school we touched base on braiding, sort of just basic braids ... so here's a little video for me to remember! ... going to try this tomorrow!!

Practicing barrel curls and vertical curls with the infamous Marcel(?) iron. Glad to say that knowledge has not left me!! worked that iron like it was meant for me haha love the refresher I'm getting taking this over. It's all so easy for me for the time being... school is great!!! eager to see what project we are given to do with these set curls tomorrow!

Day 2 getting to know our mannequins!!! With a wash and blow dry. What I started with, washed and sectioned then finished outcome with only a brush and dryer .... blow out game is strong hahaa jk.

Got my kit today!!! Its just like Christmas in July!! First step into becoming a hair styling student at The Style Academy!!
