Repost from @travelalberta using @RepostRegramApp - During these challenging times, when we are all isolating at home and practicing social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19, it can be easy to forget the importance of connecting especially with the people, places and experiences that make travel so amazing. Despite everyone staying home, the idea of connecting has been on our mind a lot lately, so over the coming weeks we’ll get back to posting the things that brou...ght you to this community in the first place connecting to moments of beauty and grace from Alberta, a place we all love. But we also can’t lose sight of what’s really important right now. Nobody should be travelling. We should all be limiting our social contact. Let’s work together to get through this time, so that we can all get back to exploring our world safely and positively. Now more than ever, we’re feeling grateful for connections that still exist all around us to our land, to our communities, and the connections forged when we come together during difficult times. Stay safe. Stay home. Stay positive. Follow the instructions from your local health authorities. We will see you again. See more

Repost from @edmontonpoliceservice using @RepostRegramApp - The EPS takes the health and safety of the public and our officers seriously. Just as we encourage the public to practice safe social distancing, we ask our officers to do the same when on and off duty. While this is not always practical in frontline policing, we are modifying some practices during these challenging times. One example is the use of smart phone cameras to photograph documents at vehicles stops and oth...er interactions to provide adequate social distance and minimize the handling of documents. Theses images will only be used for reference during the time of the vehicle stop and will not be stored beyond the conclusion of the interaction. Officers are also encouraged to follow adequate social distancing when not involved in investigations or during well-needed breaks. These are challenging times and we are responding accordingly to serve the community in the safest possible way.
