Executive Flight Centre started operations at the Regina Airport, refuelling all Sunwing flights. EFC’s first Sunwing flight arrived this morning and was refuelled before heading off to Huatulco, Mexico. This is a big moment for EFC as it is the first time we have provided refuelling services in Saskatchewan! A big congrats to our team on making this happen!

Our Kamloops (YKA) and Penticton (YYF) locations had the unique experience of fueling the iconic WII B-25 Maid in Shade and B-17 Sentimental Journey. Both aircraft were in Kamloops from July 1st to 7th and then in Penticton from July 8th to 14th. This was part of the CAF Airbase Arizona Flying Legends of Victory Tour, which offers the public an opportunity to tour the planes or go for rides. We had a great time participating in the Orbis Canada Plane Pull for Sight in Calgary on Saturday and would like to congratulate our staff for coming in 3rd place as one of the top fundraising teams! They managed to raise a grand total of $3367.40. We would also like to thank everyone for their support and contributions to make this possible. Great job Everyone!

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Nancy and Debbie Spencer in the loss of their father Ron Spencer. The EFC team was honoured to attend his celebration of life put on this weekend at the Penticton Airport. A plaque will be proudly displayed in the EFC Penticton FBO facilities as a remembrance to what a special person Ron was and the dedication and service he provided the Penticton Airport over his 55 years running Spencer Aviation.

Executive Flight Centre’s Fort St. John location had a unique visit with a Zivko Edge 540, which is used in the Red Bull Air Race World Series. Constructed to be as light as possible to ensure maximum speed, they have to be extremely robust and tolerate the stress of up to 10 times the force of gravity (10Gs). These propeller-driven machines are highly maneuverable, pulling up into a vertical orientation at high speed with very little effort something that even modern fighter jets can’t match.

We are very excited to announce Northwestern Air as a new customer at EFC's Fort McMurray terminal. Northwestern Air changed its arriving and departing flights to be based out of EFC's Fort McMurray terminal on June 18, 2018. We look forward to working with Northwestern Air and are happy to be able to support their operations!

EFC was lucky to receive a visit from the TacAero at our Fort St. John location. The group of 13 pilots is on an 18-day expedition to Alaska and throughout Western Canada.

British Columbia is experiencing a very challenging time from numerous wildfires. As we have seen the events unfold, we realized how quickly communities across Canada come together to support one another and we want to do our part. Monday July 17th was our first operational day at Terminal 4 in Edmonton and it went really well. We had a lot of positive feedback from CNRL and C North management and passengers. A lot of work went into preparation and setting up Terminal 4 for CNRL flights. We want to thank all of our Edmonton staff for their hard work and support to make Terminal 4 re-opening successful. Great job everyone!

DND’s CF18 show circuit plane painted with Canada’s 150th colors. EFC staff in Edmonton had the honor of meeting Captain Matt that is piloting this magnificent bird as he arrived for a fuel stop on his way to Cold Lake. Impressive!

On Friday, June 2nd our fuel trucks in Edmonton topped up this unique, yet commanding C177 Globemaster with 90,000+ litres of fuel. Way to go team YEG!

EFC welcomes the first flight with Summit this morning for the Dominion Diamond (Ekati Mine) workforce!

EFC in YEG made history helping execute a charter for Air North! This was the first time that a 737 has ever landed at the Edson Airport. A lot of nearby residence & local media were there to see the arrival and departure of the aircraft. Great Job EFC, it couldn't have been done without our dedication to safety, attention to detail and continued efforts from the EFC Team. Way to go!

A very meaningful message from our President... "Hi All, Incredibly a year has gone by since that unforgettable day of May 3, 2016, when a wildfire which began southwest of Fort McMurray swept through the community, forcing the largest wildfire evacuation in Alberta's history. For EFC and our courageous staff in YMM, it was an event we’ll never forget. Looking back though I think it was a real turning point in our company whereby a real bond and unity was formed by all of us ...working to help the evacuees. The stats : Burned area: 5,896 km Cost: $3.58 billion (insured damages); $9.5 billion (direct and indirect costs) Buildings destroyed: 2,400 structure (nearly 10% of city); 665 work camp units Total fatalities: 0 (direct); 2 (indirect) Thankfully they are predicting a low risk of a major wildfire in this region this year, but you never know. One thing we do know is that if a major wildfire happens again, EFC will be there to step up and help in providing support to the area and people affected." Dean Buckland President
