EDIT: this is a *kids* clothing drive only for now. They are unable to accept adult and household donations at this time. thanks everyone and keep sharing. Please see below request for help from our sister neighbourhood group, Onward Willow NG & Community Centre If you are you able to help, please do. If you are not able to help with clothing please consider sharing this post. . .... . At this time of year, and with all the stress of the last many months and re-entering school, we at OWNG are trying to find ways to alleviate some of the worries families may have. As we continue delivering fresh food , we've also identified back-to-school clothing as a high priority for folks in our neighbourhood and beyond. We also recognize there are many people who are looking for places to donate clothing and only finding options where items are resold. Though our NG's services mostly accommodate folks in our area, the Onward Willow clothing closet has traditionally been open to anyone in the city and it continues to be so. It is one of our most used assets, helping literally thousands of people annually who can access FREE, gently used clothing. We have continued to offer our services safely and by appointment only at this time. WHAT: gently used, seasonal clothing & shoes for grade school kids JK-8 WHERE: drop off at 15 Willow Road, Unit K45 WHEN: Fridays 11am-1pm OR e-mail onwardwillownsw@gmail or call 519-824-6892 for alternate arrangements.

Hello Ex Park! Can we talk about our dogs for a minute? Exhibition Park is lucky to have a leash free area for your pup to run and play. This area, however, is limited to the ball diamond area posted as Softball Diamond 2. In the rest of the park, our dogs are required to be on leash. You may have the friendliest, goofiest, lovable dog on the planet and you want to share that pup with the rest of the world. Let’s be mindful that not all humans and canines share that feeling. ...Many humans and dogs have dog related anxiety and when they are approached uninvited this will cause an extremely unpleasant experience for them. We have a beautiful park that should be enjoyed by our whole city and many out of town visitors. For their sake, please leash up your dog. Hey Ex Park, Tour de Guelph looks a little different this year! In response to the COVID-19 crisis and in adherence with current physical distancing recommendations, Tour de Guelph 2020 will not be held in its usual single-day event format. They are also welcoming those who prefer to ride at home on their bike trainer or stationary bike and also welcoming walkers this year! Find out more on how you can participate, fundraise or donate today! http://tourdeguelph.ca

Oh, hello Ex Park! We want to put a little *Socially-Distant-Scavenger-Hunt* together to make this time a bit more fun for the lil' ones. Place a bunny stuffie or an egg in a window, but visible from a sidewalk outside. Kids can point them out to their parents while walking together. And hey, if you don't have a bunny stuffie, go ahead and print one of theseColour them up, cut them out and post in a window for the kids to see how many they can count in our Exhibition Park neighbourhood. We miss you all but keep practicing social- distancing! And, remember we are not stuck at home, we are *safe* at home.
