Plan your deck now and be ready for the spring thaw.

20 cm of snow expected today. Although winter isn’t done with us yet, some homeowners are starting to think about their spring projects. Others are dealing with ageing roof and/or poor flashing issues as ice dams and melting snow infiltrate their home. One solution for some of these issues can be proper venting of the attic space. Here is a good article that covers some common questions. https://www.facebook.com/FineHomebuildingMagazine/posts/10155925699185813

After a beautiful ride home from the grocery store today with fresh snow powdering the trees lining both sides of the roadway, I'm reminded to post a few pictures of some late fall exterior work. Front entry door with custom colour and re-fitted exterior trim to match the homes existing custom touches. The old door had been allowing continuous water seepage into the home for years. Rotting a hole through the hardwood floor and the subfloor and damaging floor joists. We addr...essed structural damage, replaced the damaged subfloor, upgraded the rim joist insulation, installed tile floor using an "uncoupling" membrane, and finished with new trim. Now this entryway is good to go for another generation of snowy boots and muddy paws. Thanks again to another great repeat client!

A great project with great clients, Eigen Innovations and John Leroux, in downtown Fredericton. More "after" pictures to come, but we love the workstation design that doubles as modular ping-pong. Yes, they are a Tech company! :)
