A Bucket Full Of Tears In the silence of the night, just before he goes to bed He will anticipate the dream, that will play out within his head... A dream of him and her, that was not so long ago When they were both very young, taking in a picture show Holding hands while they talked, often embraced in a kiss As they both sat and contemplated, all they had missed For time does not stand still, and gone are those yesteryears Now all that they are left with, is a bucket full of tears William J Palmer

Nothing Really Lasts Her tears bare witness of a troubled soul While reflecting back on the days of old... A time in life when she was young at heart Now all she longs for is a brand new start For she is not the woman she use to be Full of jubilation, happiness and glee Now sitting alone mourning for the past Has come to realize that nothing really lasts William J Palmer

My True Salvation I lay beside her and watch her suffer, this blessed woman I call my mother, she hides her tears so we can’t see, the pain she suffers for you and me, her gentle spirit will warm your soul, as she speaks of all the days of old, then I look into her suffering eyes and then begin to realize, that what lays before me is a revelation, my truth, my love, my true salvation. The Man He Used To Know He used to like what he had seen, but now hates what he has become, his world now dark and empty, all he feels is numb, long gone is the mystery, that made him feel alive and shattered are the dreams, he once held deep inside, distant are the voices that once echoed in his mind and faded is the spark of life and love of all divine, now all is faded memory of a time so long ago, when he could look into a mirror and see the man he used to know. Final Kiss When there is nothing but silence in a darkened room, and the thought of death begins to bloom, you wipe the sweat upon your brow, and suddenly realize there is only NOW, this moment in time is all you have, be it happy, be it sad, these precious moments come and go, like spring showers, or melting snow, so live your life like there’s no tomorrow, or stay in the illusion, and drown in its sorrow, but whatever you choose realize this, death awaits you with its final kiss William J Palmer

All Was Well Woke to the sound of a beautiful day Looked outside saw children at play... Sun was shining the sky full of blue Made me reflect on memories of you Birds were singing like angels in a choir People laughing full with desire The air was fresh sweet to the smell Happy, content knowing all was well William J Palmer

Words Words are shadows of our emotions, often expressed in blind devotion, from those who say they really care, but when in need they’re seldom there, when times are good they come around, but you’ll rarely see them when you’re down, they really think they’re being nice, by giving you their advice, but talk is cheap in the end, when coming from your so called friends, when what is needed is just an ear; someone there to calm your fears. Dear God Dear God in Heaven please hear her prayer, for she cries out to you in much despair, from dawn to dusk she lay in pain, as she tries so hard not to complain, I often see her with tears in her eyes, trying so hard not to cry, I often wonder if you’re really there and if in fact you really care, will you not reach out and end her affliction, or has pain and suffering become your addiction; is it true that Satan rules and we are merely Satan’s tools, did you not tell us that if we pray, that all good things will come our way, so if this be true I have just one, please take this pain from my mom. God’s Ear Tragic are the times we live, where most just take and never give, where an honest man must make a living, among the callous and unforgiving, where the silver spooned all feel the need, to mock the poor and watch them plead, but for those who have and could careless, it’s really them who fail the test, for in the end, when death is near, it’s the poor in spirit, that holds God’s ear. The dreams I dream are but abstractions of heart, but be as it may, dreams eventually depart. For when I awake to the dawn of light, it’s those dreams I long for, in the dark of night. William J Palmer

I Will Always Be Here Every once in awhile a person comes along, who puts a step in your dance to life's crazy song, their eyes can uplift you when you're feeling weak, who's voice can carry you, when you can barely speak, someone who cares when you're in need of a friend, someone who'll be there no matter where or when, who will hold you close when you're feeling afraid, someone you can count on each and every day, an angel on your shoulder who whispers in your ear; I will always love you and I will always be here. Silence breeds its own content in the quiet of my room, where time is spent and whispers heard by the love once shared by me and her. William J Palmer

A Lover's Lament Her laugh was but a laugh in a sea of sadness; her smile but a tremble of a broken heart. Her eyes as blue as the summer sky; now red and swollen as they say goodbye. Her heart exploded with a sea of tears, as she now lays naked on an ocean of fear. Her dreams were the flower to which he was the bee; her heart in a prison, where only he had the key. He was the sun in her sky, the day in her night, the breath in her voice, the bright in her light. As she walks away in the shadow of doubt, she looks to the heavens and begins to shout. Why, why did you take him away, could you not have given me just one more day. The clouds then parted, as the sunlight kissed her face, and it was then in that moment, she had felt his embrace. Autumn's Light As I sit at my desk and look out my window, I watch the trees dance with the wind. I listen to the sound of the leaves sing as they fall to the ground. I smell the air as it caresses my scent with its morning mist. The chill in the air reminds me of memories when I played among the fallen leaves as they blanketed me with their sweet caress. As I lay there looking up to the sky, I wonder what tomorrow will bring, I daydream of all the yesterdays when life tickle...d me with its sweet pleasures and forbidden fruits. I think of lovers I will never meet again, who shared with me their secrets and tears in moments of fragile vulnerability. I contemplate the heavens wondering if one day I will find my true love. I remain quiet in thought just watching the birds as they negotiate their way through the air on the winds of time. But alas the day turns to night, so I must bid farewell to Autumns light and return to my bed where in a dream, Autumns light can be redeemed. William J Palmer

Where Lovers Never Sleep Her lust comes upon me like a gentle rain, or a wet dew from a morning mist. I caress her ears with heated words as she sighs in anticipation of what is to come. I undress her with my eyes, as she bites down on her lower lip. Her thighs quiver in longing for the touch of my hand, as I slowly caress her neck with my fingers, she moans in acceptance of what might come. I taste her lips bathed in cherry gloss as my tongue penetrates her warm soft mouth. Again she sighs as she melts into my arms, I then hold her ever so gently as I lay her down upon my bed. We make love through the night, then finally fall to slumber, to meet again in a dream, where lovers never sleep. William J Palmer

My Words For A Kiss My love I have to offer, to those who will accept, secrets I will give to you, if you promise they’ll be kept. My pain I will share with you, if it’s not too great, in hope that a few of you, just might relate. The door to my mind, I promise to be seen, to all of you who understand, and have been where I have been. Come deep into my soul, where many fear and tremble, and make yourself acquainted, with the demons that assemble. Lay with me upon my bed, as I hold you in my arms, and come with me into a dream, and make love among the stars. Wake with me embraced, to the morning mist, the only price you’ll pay, are my words for a kiss. William J Palmer

Eternity In A Kiss Come my love, let us sing of the past as you gaze upon the dawn of hope in my eyes. Let us rest in the arms of slumber, where our tears will subside. For I am yours forever, not even death could part our souls, just like Romeo and Juliet, our story will be told. Now lay your head upon my chest and wait the morning mist, as I hold you in my arms and seal eternity in a kiss. William J Palmer

A Love Bitter Sweet A Poem By William J Palmer, Canada He longs for her love like the bee to a flower... Dreams of her touch, each and every hour Mind is consumed with her taste, touch and smell He hides it from the world; the world he cannot tell For she is a secret, one he keeps close to his heart No matter what happens, nothing will tear it apart So maybe one day, if their paths should again meet Once again he’ll be reminded, of a love bitter sweet

The Calm Before The Storm A Poem By William Palmer, Canada A mind in chaos lost in confusion Fighting hard to end the delusions... Sees the world in a different light Always a challenge always a fight People see him don’t understand The demons within a troubled man But to really know him in his truest form You must see the calm before the storm

Achilles Heel A Poem By William Palmer, Canada He was strong and brave not a man he would fear... But there was this woman in his heart he held dear Her eyes were so beautiful they captured his soul With her in his life he thought he’d never grow old They would always be together and never would part For she had broken this man and stolen his heart His only weakness he had was how she made him feel For her beauty and love had become his Achilles heel

A Whisper In The Wind A Poem By William J Palmer, Canada The wind blows in a quiet disputation... Moves about in tranquil contemplation It cares not for the world's desolation Just blows around without hesitation In silent screams and gentle consolation It passes by with diminutive agitation Listen very assiduously and just let it in Then you will hear a whisper in the wind
