Founded in 1996, Inhand Equine Therapy specializes in the optimization of health and improvement of performance in equine and canine athletes through a holistic approach led by owner Tina Watkins (E.S.T. E.E.B.W 3). Over the years, InHand has grown and expanded. With the focus always on the equine athletes, the desire to bring further knowledge and understanding to fellow equine professionals and owners has grown as well! From this came InHand's new offerings, Expand InHand,... InHand Collaborations and InHand Mentor Me. We are bringing them all under one roof so you have access to all that InHand Equine Therapy has to offer directly from the main source! The subsidiary facebook pages will be no longer active so please follow our InHandEquineTherapy FB page, our @inhandequinetherapy Instagram account, our Youtube channel InHand Equine Therapy and our online learning platform at www.inhandequinetherapy.podia.com We have so much to offer from our roots of wholistic programs for your horse, and more great programs coming your way for equine professionals and owners! #strivingformastery See more

Ever had an injury in your horse? Do you find they start a roller coaster of other issues? Julie has had multiple injuries in her career. Due in large part to her extremely athletic performance and a continual compensation posture that would then stress other areas. The latest was a stifle injury almost two years ago. Follow her case study and learn how we are correcting her imbalances to bring her back stronger than ever with a baseline program and team approach. Follow her, the three other case studies and find out about the program we used to show how we can build core tissue for strength and support.

Great day yesterday even with all the rain!! Thanks Tina Watkins EST, EEBW 3 from InHandEquineTherapy for continuing the conversation and learnings from Dr Sarah Pedersen of Motion Equine about the dysfunctions Id head, neck and jaw. A little improvisation needed due to continued barn closures from COVID but we have an amazing group of ladies participating that made the proper social distancing requirements possible. Now to hear their feedback over the next few weeks as they take and apply their learnings from the Study and the Application before our next meeting for the Discussion.

Our collaboration with Dr Sarah Pedersen of Motion Equine is front and centre! This series is giving out tidbi...ts of more free content every day as we go through checklists to help owners and bodyworkers alike. This weeks topic is Fitness, something we need to consider as horses are coming back into condition with barns starting to reopen and spring finally arriving. Subscribe to the InHand Equine Therapy YouTube channel today and never miss any content! #continuingeducation #equinewellnessteam #collaborations

Are you ready to get back into the saddle? With both winter and the recent isolation to deal with, many of us are behind in our conditioning programs with our horses, if we have started at all, or are having to re-start. Listen as we go over some key points to consider before you get on your horses back to ride.

The collaboration with Dr Chad Hewlett and Megan Orange RVT, CERT on this study is what sets it apart. The methodical approach and measurements really highlight what a difference these small additions can make. @energyequine @inhand_equine_therapy #vetcollaborations #equinefitness #equineconditioningprograms

We're being bombarded with things we should be doing while in isolation to improve ourselves. Write journals, get in shape, learn how to cook, meditate, become better than before.... If it resonates with you to do these things or anything else you see, that's great but otherwise it just adds to the stress we already feel. It's different and personal for each of us. Do what feels right for you. Be kind to yourself #personaldevelopment #selflove #selfcare #loveyourself #loveyourneighbors #takeyourtime #reducestress #knowyourself

Above and beyond is the name of today. We were suppose to be holding our application portion of the Head neck and jaw dysfunction, Pod3. With the barn closers, and having to postpone, Kim and I wanted to give a bonus to the Pod 3 participants. Dr Sarah Pedersen stepped up and gave her time to do an hour bonus lecture and question and answer period. Allowing the Pod3 Group to keep interest going from the topic and dig in a little deeper. Was a huge success! We cant thank Dr S...arah Pedersen of Motion Equine enough for the selfless give, what a gracious gift! We only had half the pod able to come on the call live but with the power of technology the call was both live and recorded so the rest of the group can watch at any time, I know I will be watching again! In times like these you see the beauty in people shine, and today the group of Pod3 got a chance to really soak it in! #expandinhand #motionequine #peoplesheartshowingthrough #somethingtofocusonthatbuildsyouup

We hope this finds you all well. As we continue to monitor what is unfolding in our world and our industry over the weekend, we at Expand InHand have come to the decision to postpone the upcoming courses this spring until the COVID crisis has settled and protocols allow for us to once again gather. We are hopeful this means in the not too distant future! As with other equine facilities, Telsec Farms has had to close its doors to the public during this pandemic which means ...Continue reading

Following current protocols and with Kim in isolation still from travel, a zoom call was in order! Please stay connected, we want to hear from everyone as to how this is affecting you. COVID-19 response: With the ever changing environment we are currently living in, we at InHand Equine Therapy and Expand InHand continuing education, wanted you all to know how seriously we are taking this matter. It is in everyones best interest to ensure that all protocols are adhered to stringently when working with the public to bring about a quick resolution to this situation. We are monitoring very closely the recommendations of the Provincial Chief Medical Officer ...as well as the Federal Health Minister and the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. Stringent disinfecting of our equipment, frequent hand washing, social distancing and communication is paramount. Protocols may be changing daily as new restrictions are announced and come into play. As barn owners or equine owners, please let us know if you are implementing your own measures so that we can continue to work with you and supply the best health standards to your horses and yourselves. If there has been any international travel, health symptoms or believed exposure to anyone with COVID-19 symptoms please advise as soon as possible. If you are a bodyworker that is struggling with the effects this pandemic and economic impact is having on us, please know we are in this together as a community and it is even more important to work side by side to support one another. Feel free to reach out, this industry has seen many struggles as of late but we will get through it as a community. Our Expand InHand courses are currently all still in line to continue as our numbers are below the recommended amount of 50 people. This will be very fluid however as health recommendations change both provincially and federally as well as with the barn in which we hold our courses. We are currently looking at options to either offer them at a later time or via online methods that still ensure top quality instruction and education for you.
