Had a great evening for ice rescue and hovercraft training.Thanks to all the members who came out. Special shout out to Jordan from Greco here in GFW for dropping off some pizzas and drinks for the team. Much appreciated!

So very proud of the group of people I have the honour to be a part of. Last night at 11:30, the call came in for the possibility that someone has gone through the ice. At a moment’s notice, 25 people took to the snow covered highway to head to the scene. Conditions were very stormy. The team done a hasty search of scene along with RCMP dog services to try to locate someone. At 4:30 this morning, we arrived back home with no luck. Happily this morning we were informed that so...meone indeed did go through the ice in the area but thankfully was able to be rescued by his buddy. Hats off to the volunteers who are there when the need arises. If you find yourself in trouble and thankfully are able to rescue yourself, it is a good idea to still let the proper authorities know so that it is known that all people associated with the area are safe. Thanks again to all involved and remember to enjoy the outdoors but please do it safely with the changing weather conditions we are currently experiencing. See more

We are lucky to have you and appreciate all the work you do . ... Well done.

25 YEARS OF SERVICE Sending out a HUGE congratulations to Chris Hart on being recognized for 25 years of dedicated service to his community and province. Chris walked out of high school and directly into the ranks of SAR . Chris has been the Assistant Coordinator of the team for nearly two decades and brings a host of expertise and training to the table. Chris plays a pivotal role in fundraising for the team and was an integral part in securing our new command center. Commiting 25 years to an organization is no small feat and we are lucky to have you. Well done Chris.

Thank you to all who purchased burgers at our sale today. The last 8 months have been difficult times for many volunteer organizations. As a self supporting group, to see many familiar faces come each time we have a sale to support us makes us proud. Community support is very much alive in our area and we certainly appreciate you help. Shout out also to our members today who willingly gave up their Saturday to help out.
