Tourism in Ladysmith has been especially hard hit last season, with this season not looking very promising, the Town of Ladysmith has acted early in an attempt ...to draw visitors to the heritage downtown. Their latest initiative is a promotion campaign showcasing the attractive bollards that were installed downtown last year. While the bollards were installed for safety, a group of local business entrepreneurs saw an opportunity to capitalize on the shiny black bollards. "We are hoping to draw more people downtown, said local business owner and spokesman for the group, Allan Rich. Will the bollards be just the thing to help bring visitors to the town, remains to be seen. See more
