SPEAKER EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - Expo Labrador 2020 Topics and Criteria The Expo Labrador 2020 Organizing Committee is accepting expressions of interest to present during the three (3) day virtual conference program. Session topics include: Major Developments... Emerging Opportunities Sustainable Small Business Presentations should relate to at least one of the topics listed below with direct and/or relevant application to Labrador/ Nunatsiavut. 1. Small Business Success 2. Indigenous Business 3. Mining & Mineral Exploration 4. Energy 5. Resource Development 6. Tourism 7. Climate Change 8. Transportation 9. Education & Training 10. Research & Development 11. Infrastructure 12. Economic Development Note: You may also provide suggestions for additional topics not listed above. Presentations are selected by the Conference Committee based on the following criteria: the proposal title and description and its timeliness; the nature and scope of the presentation and its relevance to Labrador opportunities and issues; the credentials of the speaker; the experience level and sector that the presentation covers; the need for that specific proposal by our attendees. Presenter selections will be announced by the end of September 2020. Please note that the submission of an expression of interest form does not guarantee acceptance into the conference program. Please be advised that the Expo Labrador 2020 Organizing Committee is closely monitoring developments associated with COVID-19. We understand the virus is having a tremendous impact on communities, small businesses and the Canadian economy. While the Public Health Agency of Canada has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for the general population in Canada, we recognize that the situation, as well as federal and provincial restrictions, are changing rapidly.
