Hello from the Express Employment Professionals (Cloverdale/Langley)! We just wanted to send a message regarding the Covid-19 situation currently taking place. We have instituted several measures in our office to ensure we are neither harboring nor spreading the virus. We are following all the procedures provided, by Federal, Municipal, and provincial health officials as well as by our Fraser Health office down the hall. ... We wanted to let you know if you are picking up checks Friday, that we are in fact open and they will be ready. Please follow the new protocol for cheques by calling and letting us know you are here/coming to pick up, and knock loudly on the door when you have arrived (the door is remaining locked at this time to discourage traffic in the office. We trust you will understand and appreciate this for the health and safety of both our staff and associates.) For those coming in, we have elected to switch to phone interviews so that new people are only coming by briefly to sign a few things and only when we think there is a job that fits their skills. We are properly screening these new folks regarding personal or family travel, and any signs of sickness, as well as ensuring all common areas are being sufficiently sanitized after being touched. People working for us who have let us know they have travelled, or have been in contact with those who have, along with those showing any signs or symptoms of sickness are not being sent to work. We are being very diligent to ensure those already working for us are not exposed to those at risk, as well as our client companies. We have also seen that those calling in sick to work are being requested to stay off in an abundance of caution. We would advise if you are taking a day off to be specific about the ailment, honestly is the best policy here, as if you just need a personal day but say you are sick it likely will escalate beyond that one day at the same time, if you are feeling related symptoms you most certainly should advise us, so proper action can be taken.
