"IRCC offers new faster Canada PR processing for select visas" A new faster Canada PR processing for select visas will be offered by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. The new system will be progressive rather than being based on estimations of historical data. The fresh Canada PR processing times will replace the conventional processing times for select applications. This will be for those submitted after 31 July 2018. IRCC has revealed this in a press release da...ted 9 August 2018, as quoted by the CIC News. The latest system will be applicable to the below categories of Canada PR applications: - Sponsorship of Grandparents and Parents PGP Visa - Non-Express Entry Provincial Nominee - Skilled Workers Quebec - Start-Up Visa - Compassionate and Humanitarian cases The projected processing times will display the excepted times to applicants in the above categories for processing their applications under normal conditions. This will be specific to the day they submit their application. The processing times will be updated every month, said IRCC. Ahmed Hussen the Immigration Minister of Canada said that the latest update is aimed at enhancing the accuracy of our processing times for immigration. It is also aimed at assisting clients to be better equipped for Canadian immigration if their applications are successful. IRCC aims to offer enhanced service to Canada PR applicants with the new processing times. This is also aimed at attending Provisional, Work, Visit, and Study Visa applicants. The processing times in majority of the cases depend on: - The type of submitted application In case of completed applications: - The speed with which IRCC anticipates to process the application in the system - The ease of verification of the information offered by the applicants - The time that is taken by the applicants to reply to concerns or requests if any - Other factors.
