Express Driving School Inc COVID -19 Safety Protocols Our workplace is:... - our driver training vehicle COVID -19 Screening Procedures - our clients will be asked the appropriate COVID -19 screening questions on two occasions: 1) at the time of booking 2)before they enter the vehicle We will ask each client whether they are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms (coughing, shortness of breath, fever) or is otherwise feeling unwell. We will ask whether the client Has returned from another area within the last 21 days. We will ask if the client has had close contact with someone in the past 21 days who has been diagnosed with, or is presumed to have, COVID-19. Anyone who appears to be ill or cannot answer the questions positively will not be permitted in the vehicle and the lesson will be rescheduled to a later date. Lesson Protocols: - clients will be met outside the driver’s side of the vehicle and provided with: 1) hand sanitizer. 2) surgical mask if they do not have their own (at a small additional cost). - PPE will be worn/applied by both the client and instructor before they get into the car - the vehicle will be thoroughly sanitized in between clients. - sanitizing points are listed below. Barriers & partitions The instructor in a driver training vehicle, must always be able, in emergency situation, to be in a position to apply corrective steering to the vehicle (i.e.: a steering wheel grab). Therefore, a barrier between the client and the instructor is not a feasible option. Safety Plan concerning our driver training vehicle: Considering that clients and instructors are within 6 feet of each other, all clients and instructors will wear masks or face shields. We encourage gloves if you wish to wear them as well. Cleaning Protocols for Client and Instructor safety The instructor is responsible for cleaning the surfaces in and about the vehicle. The surfaces will include: - outside door handle - inside door handle - all electronic touch points on the inside of the door, - the steering wheel - the signal light assembly - the headlight switch area - the wiper area - heater/air conditioning controls - dashboard area The cleaning will be done, by the instructor, in between each client.
