Canadian Immigration I have been posting updates about new policies, procedures and immigration categories as soon they are made public. I am writing this specially for my comrades those are retired or getting there in near future. In the existing policy (Express Entry), an applicant needs to have English language proficiency test taken with a minimum score of CLB 7. The most common test is IELTS and one needs minimum of 6 bands in reading, writing, speaking and listening (I ...have seen married getting maximum in listening, lol). The 6 bands in IELTS is equivalent to CLB 7 which is one of the two prerequisites. Second prerequisite is to get the educational documents evaluated for Canadian equivalency. This has to be done by the applicant personally as it requires attestation of documents from HEC/secondary board in a sealed envelope to be sent to facilitator. In the new policy, there are 1200 total points out of which 600 are only for having a job offer from a Canadian employer duly approved by Service Canada. The simple is pretty simple, any one having a job offer will stand a better chance to immigrate. However, individuals with Bachelor's or Master degree and having a high proficiency in English can also be optimistic. Hitherto, all service men those are interested please do work towards the prerequisites if you are really serious. This has been posted for educational purposes as well that interested individuals should be careful and do not lose their hard earned money to ghost consultants practicing overseas especially in Pakistan, India, UAE and in Europe. Finally the guidelines for Express Entry program has been announced. The program will launch at noon on January 1, 2015.
