Im the one in the background - their planner in one of the most magical moments of a wedding day. MOTHERS DAY // From my family to yours, Happy Mothers Day

WILD FLOWER // Today I was taking a pause as my daughter napped and suddenly a big gush of wind passed by my window and it started to snow. Snowing in May after double digit weather last week?! Who would of thought? But then I started thinking that this weather has really signified the year weve been having. 2020 has become an unpredictable and crazy year, and suddenly the snow just made sense. Im not sure what the next few months will bring and how the rest of this year will look like, but Im hopeful that well be able to find our new normal soon. Until then, Ill be dreaming of beautiful flowers and a time when we were able to be creative & collaborative on heavenly shoots like this one. #ExpressYourselfWeddings

CAKE // Anyone else baking up a storm lately? From @monikahibbs delicious homemade bread to @bromabakerys chocolate peanut butter banana bread, the kitchen has definitely been my happy place over the last few weeks. Nothing has brought me more joy than having my daughter & husband enjoy one of my latest creations. They surely didnt look as beautiful as this masterpiece by @fruitilicious_cakes, but theyve tasted delicious!

FIESTA // Who else is celebrating Cinco De Mayo today with some delicious tacos & a margarita in hand?

V A R I E T Y // I was recently listening to one of the latest episodes of the @the_vip_collective yesterday and the amazing @rachelaclingen was on and she was talking about having variety & using different textures when designing a tablescape, especially when you have many guest tables for your event. This wedding we helped design for our wonderful couple at the @fairmontroyalyork is a perfect example of this. While all the centrepieces are tall to provide height in this par...ticular room, we used different types of vessels to provide variety, using both gold & crystal in the design. Different textures were also incorporated with the different types of foliage, florals and even the gorgeous moss incorporated to give it that secret garden vibe we wanted incorporated throughout. The beautiful detail that was incorporated at the base of the vessel with the floral impact also allowed beautiful blooms to be at guest eye level as well. Our team sourced these beautiful gold table numbers that perfectly went with the tablescape and we even had each guest name designed with the same material. Our hearts are breaking for all our couples who have had to postpone their weddings this year. But were so excited for when we are able to make their visions come to life. Were also so very grateful for the few weddings we were able to design this year before this self-isolation took place, like this beauty. #ExpressYourselfWeddings

B I R T H D A Y // Its my birthday tomorrow and to be honest I was hoping to be celebrating it a little bit differently. I actually was supposed to have a beautiful wedding tomorrow that we planned & designed and I was hoping to be creating magic for the most amazing couple for their day. Unfortunately thats not the case, but I look forward to their upcoming day, where I can put together the beautiful wedding we dreamed up together, filled with colour, flowers & most of all... love! I know how difficult this self-isolation can be for so many people, especially for couples that are having to postpone their weddings, but the important thing to always remember is that LOVE isnt cancelled and that love can & should be celebrated everyday! So tomorrow, I wont be spending my birthday doing one thing I love which is my job, but I know that I will be spending it filled with love & doing other things I love like cuddling with my daughter, husband & puppy, cooking delicious food & just being with the ones that mean the most to me.
