Please note the attached changes from the Ministry of Long Term Care in regards to Windsor Essex County moving into Orange Level effective Monday November 23rd.

We are gratified to read today's announcement from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care regarding the resumption of day trips and overnight stays for the residents of the province's long term care homes. As the announcement states, the detailed policy surrounding the new directive will be released next week. Until that time, our existing policies regarding visitation will remain in place. We ask for patience from our family members and substitute decison makers as we await further details on how this protocol will work.

The hair salon is back open! And these beauties are back to camera ready!

A few weeks ago this super ambitious Extendicare crew put in alot of blood, sweat and tears to redo another one of our outdoor courtyards! Another great space for residents to use while our main courtyard is in use for outdoor visits! Awsome job team!

Is it even fathersday if you don't get a pair of funky socks that show your personality?! Happy father's day to all of our work dads, grandpas, papas, pepes, nonnos, and opas!

Shout out to our favorite Lebanese restaurant Tabouli by Eddy's for feeding our whole day time shift today! Such a delicious surprise! Thank you for supporting our healthcare heroes!

Today we had the sweetest surprise! The amazing crew at Plantscape Windsor came in to donate their time and supplies to do a makeover on our courtyard! This space is a big part of our resident's home and we can't express our thanks for all of thier generosity and hard work. Our community is amazing! Keep up the awsome work guys!

These are our happy faces! We are so happy to be off of our outbreak and back to our regular Skype calls with families! Thank you for being patient over the last two weeks. Your regularly scheduled calls will resume today!

One more mother's day post...

Happy mothers day to all of our 'work moms'. We may be here to take care of these ladies but so many of these women have touched our lives in ways we could never imagine. They have taught us patience and love; we have laughed and cried together. For many of us, we spend more time with these beautiful souls then we get to with our own mothers. Thank you to our Extendicare families for sharing your moms with us. Though this mother's day may not be what you have planned please know how loved your family members are. And we can't wait for the day when you can come and give them the hugs they deserve. Until then we will do our best to make sure they know how truely loved they are! Stay safe and happy mothers day to everyone!

Well we may not have been able to make it to the pub but the mobile pub still made it to us! HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO everyone!

Today we received our new iPad donation! In long term care iPads are essential in keeping our residents in connection with their families, helping provide virtual doctors visits, and digital entertainment. We are so excited at the possibilities this new iPad will bring for our home and residents. Thank you to our community for your donations!
