Exteriorize Design

My favourite part of this design shows up in this video after it switches to the night shots... those torches! . When I’m designing I always get excited trying to immerse myself in the experience people will have as they come home, or stop for a visit, or even just drive by... Driving down that driveway and then walking up the front steps - those torches set in the planters will add that extra piece to set this landscape apart! This contemporary front yard was designed for a landscape construction company out in the valley, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!!

A secret trail system winds through this heavily wooded property and opens up to a contemporary fire pit set amongst the trees . I wasn’t too sure about continuing the black pebble texture from the patio up onto the seating wall, but love how it’s turned out!

Front yard concept for this Tuscan Style Villa in Langley . Overall this lot is about 6 acres, and with the house set so far back from the road, sometimes it can be tough to create the experience during the drive up to the house that keeps visitors engaged and excited along the way. . Not with this property though. We designed the driveway to meander between a one acre private vineyard, vegetable garden and orchard on one side, and a quarter acre pond on the other. Places to stop and take in the sights, and peek-a-boo views that highlight the home lead you up to this front courtyard. It’s been such a great property, family, and home to design for, so I hope we’ve been able to do it some justice! What do you think?
