The task ahead of you is never greater than the strength within you. #motivationmonday #extremedancechallenge #dance @seidelstudiosphotography (EDC Calgary 2019)
Happy International Women’s Day!
I am excited for this one! It’s open to all in the dance community and it’s free! Join us for an interactive discussion and Q/A session with renowned dance ...councillors Counselling for Dancers (Psychotherapist/Counsellor and Retired Professional UK Dancer) and Natalka Dawn (MA Counselling Psych | CCC-Q, BA Dance, AD-CC-CICB) I will be facilitating the conversation around mental well-being as we: - recognize stress and mental health obstacles in dance - build personal resilience in a healthy way - navigate the stress and uncertainty that still exists - offer tools on how to move forward with healthy practices and exercises for well-being I’d love to hear what questions you have and meet you on zoom next Friday Register at [email protected] Alberta Dance Alliance See more
Wishing everyone a wonderful Family Day! (Calgary 2019)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
We’re jumping for joy today for Alberta dancers! Have a great week back training in your studios. Stay safe and enjoy every moment and air hug with your friends & teachers. #extremedancechallenge #dance #dancecompetition #yycdance #calgarydance #reddeerdance #albertadance @seidelstudiosphotography (Calgary 2019)
We’re so excited for Alberta dancers! The Alberta Government approved up to 9 dancers and 1 instructor, 3m apart in a studio beginning February 8th. Stay safe and enjoy being back in your studios tomorrow.
On Feb 8 Dance Studios in Alberta may resume 1:1 instruction. They are able to have multiple 1:1 lessons within the same room if each pair is spaced 3m apart. But cannot have 6 to 8 dancers with 1 instructor all spaced apart.
This past year in the performing arts industry feels like lyrics from a Chumbawamba song. I get knocked down, but I get up again. You are never gonna keep me down. Dancers, studio owners, educators, parents...as tough as it is, we’ve got this and will come out stronger and more resilient in the end. #extremedancechallenge #dance #dancecompetitions #yycdance #calgarydance #reddeerdance #albertadance @seidelstudiosphotography (Calgary 2019)
Dance is safe. #dancesafealberta
It’s okay to not be okay. These past 10 months have been extremely difficult and we need each other even more now. Text, call, FaceTime, Zoom...whatever it may be, know that you always have someone on the other end who cares. #bellletstalk #bellletstalkday #bellletstalk
Kelsey Nelson Lack was scheduled to adjudicate at EDC’s 2020 Calgary competition. Darn you Covid. Her knowledge, experience and positivity would have been fabulous for the dancers attending. Kelsey is offering a virtual cross training/technique training session over Zoom on January 23rd. It will be $15 USD well spent.
Updated Alberta Dance Studio Stats. A huge thank you to @dancesafealberta for all you’re doing to help our industry. It is extremely appreciated. #dancesafealberta #letsdance2020 #extremedancechallenge #dance #albertadance

Alberta dancers, dance educators and dance studio/school directors have done a fantastic job thus far at providing safe and clean spaces...keep it up.
Alberta Dancers, let your voices be heard. Share your story as to why your dance studio is a safe and clean space. Not to mention the emotional and physical benefits of dancing in person at your studio.
#lestweforget Thank you for your sacrifice and service. Today we remember.
