With Phase 2 in full swing, we are happy to announce we’re going back to work! With the changing times, our procedures look a little different. In order to comply with Manitoba’s ban on health-care workers, working at more than one facility. We are diligent with the appointment spacing. Once an Eye 2 You team member has been inside a Personal Care Home, there is a 14 day waiting period until we schedule the next in-house appointment. ... When glasses are picked up for an adjustment or to be fixed, we pick them up from the front door. The glasses are transported in a plastic bag. When they get to the office they go straight into a disinfectant to soak. They’re fixed, then put back in the disinfectant to clean again. Then they go right back into a bag and dropped off at the front door. When an Eye 2 You member goes into a personal care home they are provided with a gown, mask, face shield and gloves. See our picture below. Why is the personal care home providing our optician and optometrists with their own safety gear? Because it's about keeping our seniors safe. The less stuff coming in from outside the better. We are here to serve you in the best and safest possible way and we look forward to helping you "SEE" as we navigate through this pandemic.
