Those back rolls

I started to read The Chronicles of Narnia to the kids at bedtime. I forgot how much I love these books! I thought I’d give it a try and see if they are old enough and they are captivated! They never let me stop at 1 chapter, 2 chapters, it’s usually 3 chapters a night before my voice tires out. I’m loving reading from a chapter book aka no pictures-book at bed, so the kids can snuggle into their beds to listen instead of all 4 climbing all over me and fighting over who can see the pictures. At least this is working while all 4 continue to share one bedroom until our renovations are done. As hard as it is for them all to be in 1 room - I will miss this when their rooms are all spread out across the house. Also every time I read about #queenjadis I picture this past photoshoot

Getting wildflower bouquets from my kids is one of my most cherished things - all summer long, I have small vases of water with some kind of plant they saw beauty in, adorning my kitchen table. I hope I can convince them to always gift me this, even when they are grown and gone
