I have two or more jobs. Should I let one of my employers deduct more taxes so I don't owe the government? I get this question a lot, so I'm addressing it. Option 1 deduct more taxes: chances are you would owe less or 0 taxes if you go this route. However, this method ignores compound interest. Compound interest is interest on interest. Option 2 do not deduct anymore taxes: if you choose this route, you will most likely owe the government. However, you have the ability to u...se this money to make more money before you pay the government. Essentially, by choosing option 2, you are taking an interest free loan from the government to invest and make money. If you choose option 2, you should have an investment plan and a plan to repay the government when you file your taxes.
