FACTOR announces the additions of internationally renowned Canadian artist/advocate Tegan Quin and successful artist manager and entrepreneur Chris Smith to its Board of Directors. The announcement was jointly made by FACTOR President and CEO, Meg Symsyk, and Board Chair Steve Parsons. I am thrilled to have Tegan and Chris join us, bringing their invaluable expertise, diverse perspective and enthusiasm to the table, said Symsyk. Music Nova Scotia's new Executive Director, Allegra Swanson is an arts professional with a comprehensive knowledge of cultural media, a passion for the music industry, and a decade’s worth of experience in the non-profit arts sector at the national level. Swanson arrived in Halifax after a four-year stint with the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and The JUNO Awards where she helped produce the first sold-out seminar supporting women in music during JUNO week....
