*** Fall 2019 - Annual General Meeting*** Fairfields Swimming Club is pleased to announce that our 2019 Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Christ United Church.

It is hard to believe but today (September 2) is the last day that the pool will be open for swimming during the 2019 season! The pool will close for the season this evening at 7:00 PM. So come on out and enjoy one last swim. Please see below for today's pool hours. Dear Members, The Annual Regatta is rapidly approaching and we hope that everyone has their circus-themed costume ready for the parade! Please remember that all food orders are due by 5:00 pm tomorrow! You’re invited to attend the 2019 Annual Regatta!... Date: Sunday, August 25, 2019 Time: 4:00 - 8:00 pm Location: Fairfields Pool This year's theme is the CIRCUS. There will be a buffet, music, games for the kids, and plenty of fun! And don't forget to dress up as your favourite circus performer/act/animal for the parade! There will be a Synchro presentation as well as a guard Synchro routine. We will also be handing out our Citi*Swim awards and having a relay race. Please make sure you place your order today. We are looking for more volunteers to help run the regatta. We are looking for volunteers to help set up, serve food, clean up and to help purchase food. It is hard to believe that our final Citi*Swim meet of the season is this Saturday! All of the details for this final meet which is the STAR Meet are listed below! Just follow the link to register! The deadline for registration and payment is Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Citi*Swim is a team oriented introduction to competitive swimming. It offers the opportunity to learn skills and improve fitness for youth. By belonging to a team, each person enjoys learning to swim faster by... challenging themselves to improve personal best times in swim meets. Citi*Swim is based upon the values of fair play and allows each swimmer an opportunity to contribute to their team. The program includes stroke and skill improvement and physical training. Participants should be able to efficiently swim one length of the pool. Citi*Swim practices are held every weekday (Monday to Friday) for a total of 3.75 practice hours a week. Swim meets held on selected weekends during the summer. Come out and join the team. Please note that there is a $10.00 fee for each meet you register to attend. This is the STAR MEET and you are invited to register if you have registered for a previous meet anytime this past summer. This event is open to non-members too so invite some friends to come and enjoy the evening family swim and movie with you! This event is a wonderful time to introduce your friends to the pool and everything it has to offer. The movie will begin at 9:15 PM but popcorn and water will be available starting at 8:30 PM so come early to get set up and pick up your snacks! Movie: The Lion King! Refreshments: $2.00 per bag of freshly popped popcorn $1.00 per bottle of water Please register all attending members and any guests that you are bringing so that we know how many people to expect and how much popcorn we need.
