Our cows have now been moved with their calves to summer pasture in Coldwater. Although it has been a cold and wet start they have lots to eat. Our calf Charlie suffered a difficult delivery. He was weak and too ill to nurse. We bottle fed him 3 times a day, then tube fed 4-5 times a day electrolytes and formula and eventually hooked him up to IV. His mom stayed with him beside his pen and she herself lost weight as she chose to remain beside him when she could have been... out with the other Cows at the feeders. Through the first 24 days he never fed from mom because he couldn’t but amazingly she never dried up and once strong enough he took his first drink from her at 24 days. This is amazing that she still had milk. During his long recovery she stayed with him beside his pen and her instinct to mother him by licking him over the gate and to care for him is why he no longer needs us or the vet and at two months is now back out with mom and the herd. Our Free Range Non medicated non GMO grain fed Chicken will be fresh this Friday and available on Saturday. They range in size from 5 to 7 lbs at $4/lb. They are packaged in vacuum sealed puncture and freezer burn resistant bags that we pay extra for at the abbatoire but that is included in the cost of the chicken. This is why they store so long in the freezer . The chickens are an ideal size for the rotisserie/ barbecue, clay baker, roasting pan, beer can chicken but regardless they taste like real chicken and unlike the larger producers our chickens enjoy the light of day.

We are now selling our beef, hamburger at $5/lb and as patties for $50/10 lb box of 30, in addition to chicken from our 2018 growing season.
