We have recieved a lot of messages as the fate of the availability of the Hawker Pavillion hangs in the balance, seeking updates and presumably inside information. The reality is that yes, the indoor is now currently closed. Swartzy Performance Horses o/a 70 Plus Performance Horses has been an absolute blessing to the local horse community, assuming the lease and financial risks of the facility for the previous several years. Dallas and Gary worked extremely hard to provide... a clean and exceptional facility that housed the necessary amenities for us to host our shows and other educational events. We are beyond grateful for their years of service to the community, and wish them the absolute best in their future endeavours, and are so thankful for the opportunities they provided our club, and by extension upwards of 100 equestrians in the region. The availability of the Hawker Pavillion brought revenue to our little town, and our club proudly hosted some of the largest All-English shows north of Edmonton. With the closure of the facility, we do not know what it means for our Non-Profit society. There is no other facility in the immediate area capable of meeting our needs for shows, and unfortunately the future for them with our club holds a rather foreboding and dim vision. We will continue to cross our fingers for a community-minded outcome, but at this time we are exploring alternative avenues to continue supporting the local English community, though our options are extremely limited without such a venue. We hope to get some events off the ground in 2021, but frankly even if that happens, without support and participation the future is meek. We will continue to cross our fingers and toes, and we recognize this isn't the ideal New Year's post from FSHS, but regardless we wish all our supporters the absolute best in 2021

We are blown away with how this community came together for the Murphy family. When the idea of a fundraiser for them was brought forward at our AGM, we agreed to match to a maximum of $150. Honestly, I had just simply hoped we would be able to reach that amount to match in order to support the Murphy's with financial help due to the travel and living expenses they're facing while little Mirric lives in the Edmonton hospital. I'm so beyond proud to announce we have more than surpassed that, and we are honoured to send a total of $770.00 to the Murphy Family today On behalf of the entire FSHS, we are sending all our love, support and good vibes to the Murphy family while they continue moving forward with unwavering dignity through this trying time

2021 Memberships!!! As some of you may know, one of our members is going through a scary and hard situation. Dana Murphy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who is a micro preemie. Dana is having to stay in Edmonton while her baby girl is in the Edmonton hospital. Dana and her family have always been some of our strongest supporters and now we want to support them. We have set our 2021 FSHS membership prices at $20 for individuals and $30 for families. However, as a fundrais...er we are asking for $30 for individuals and $40 for families with the extra $10 going to Dana and her family. All fundraising money will be matched by FSHS to a max of $150. This fundraiser will run until December 10, then membership prices will resume as normal on December 11th. FSHS memberships gets you some great perks like being included in our emails, advanced entries, no admin fees and NEW THIS YEAR we will pay half of your parking fees if an event is held at the Hawker Pavilion in Fairview! Please help us support our fellow rider, horsewoman extraordinaire and amazing mom Dana Murphy.

In light of COVID, we have decided to attempt something we have never done before - we are going to do a LIVE FEED of the AGM today. This means you get to jealously watch us eat Pizza, look at two cute babies, and still be apart of our meeting from the comfort of your own home. You can submit comments on the Live Feed to be apart of the conversation as well, so everyone's voices are heard. The only thing you won't be able to do is take part in the voting of 2021 positions. The live feed will be on this page when the meeting begins around 1 PM and we hope it goes off without a hitch.
