A couple of weeks ago, in a FaceBook post, a friend asked for assistance to name her new painting. The creativity & response was rather special. She named it, Faithful Servants of the Seas. She then decided to turn her painting into a fundraising initiative for Special Olympics P.E.I. by creating limited edition prints to purchase. We loved her painting, loved the name and loved her efforts to raise money for this wonderful organization. We supported her initiative... and are now framing one for each cottage. We hope you enjoy the new artwork during your next visit. #supportlocal

It is just such a beautiful March 30th day at the shore. We so wish we could share the springtime aromas. The ocean smells coupled with the earth smells are just so fresh. #soon just so very #soon.

Couple of updates. (1) With winter weather upon us we moved indoors on our 2021 product upgrades. Cottage #9-sanded floors, refinished floors, varnished walls & baseboards. New beds arriving in May. (#13, #14 & #15) start today. giving our cottages their facelifts for your visit this season. (2) We are working hard reaching out to everyone with reservations on the books for this season. Dreaming....just dreaming today. It is our favourite time of the year when we reach out to all of our guests with reservation requests on the books for 2021 to reconfirm with your deposits. We love reconnecting with all of you and will start this process tomorrow, Tuesday, January 5, 2021. We do this in monthly chronological order starting with May and concluding with October. It takes us the entire month of January and into the first week of February to complete this task. ...Please be patient with us as we connect with all of you. Today we traveled to Riverton, P.E.I. to pickup 3 large bat houses made by a 14 year old Islander, Dominik. We will place one bat house in each area of the property; the upper, lower and central sections. We are so pleased to be supporting a local young Island entrepreneur, to be supporting the natural restoration in our ecosystem and to be supporting our 2021 guests outdoor activities. Fun fact-one little brown bat eats up to 1000 insects a night. We also found out today, the Prince Edward Island National Park Conservation staff invited young Dominik to a consultation meeting with their team to discuss the importance of wildlife conservation specific to the little brown bat (they are actually so cute). The men are working hard building our new children’s playground. It is a two to three week project and we are so pleased Mother Nature is cooperating. We also want to inform you our 2021 inventory is now live for online reservations. We will post the link in our comments. Beautiful day. Imagine September 29th and a 31 degree humidex reading. I don’t think we ever saw our flowers so beautiful this late in the season. We close for the season two weeks from today. We have one unit left available for the October 2nd weekend and just three left for the following Thanksgiving weekend. We hope to see you at Cavendish Beach before ole man winter creeps in.
