Life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday. We gather in solemn devotion, but always with the promise that the tree around which we assemble is indeed a tree of life. We pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all. In John’s passion account, Jesus reveals the power and glory of God, even as he is put on trial and sentenced to death. Again, there is no benediction today, we await the conclusion of our three day journey on Sunday morning.

Happy Easter...He is Risen He is Risen Indeed!!!

The journey of Holy Week begins in earnest tonight. This is the calm before the storm. We pause to remember "the night in which he was betrayed" with a celebration of Holy Communion. We are also reminded of the new commandment that Jesus gives us this night - to love one another. Tonight is all about love in word and deed, a template for the Christian life.

Christ the King Sunday! On this final Sunday of the church year we celebrate the reign of Christ and his victory over death, yet we await the consummation of all things yet to come. Have a Blessed Sunday!

Our Mitten Tree is up! This year we are doing things a little different and it will be a "Community" Mitten Tree. We are moving it to outside our doors to accept items and supply items. If you can donate please add to the tree as you can - If you are in need please take what you can use. We hope to help all that we can. Share with others. Whatever is left will be donated to the Salvation Army. Take care of each other. Be generous. Practice empathy.

Today we lift up World Mental Health Day. We support the right to just and universal access for all to dignified, quality mental health care services. This year..., World Mental Health Day comes at a time when our lives have been impacted significantly as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Let us pray for all: for health-care workers, providing care in difficult circumstances, going to work fearful of bringing COVID-19 home with them; for students, adapting to taking classes from home, with little contact with teachers and friends, and anxious about their futures; for workers whose livelihoods are threatened; for the vast number of people caught in poverty or in fragile humanitarian settings with extremely limited protection from COVID-19; and for people with mental health conditions, many experiencing even greater social isolation than before. https://www.who.int//world-me/world-mental-health-day-2020
