Easter Weekend is almost here! We’re excited to celebrate our risen Saviour with you at our Good Friday & Easter Sunday services. Both events are available online or you can register to attend In-Person. Be sure to prepare your bread and juice as we observe the Lord’s Table together Good Friday. We will have prepackaged communion elements available at the facility at 6:00pm. Take note that our Journey Kidz program will not be running Friday evening but will be Easter Sunday morning. Take a moment to register your in-person attendance for either service on our events page at sharethejourney.ca
If you haven't checked out Celebration Sunday yet, make your way to Facebook or YouTube.
Welcome to a Faith Baptist Church original production. Each day we will be adding new content to our social platforms to go along with our Advent Devotional. If you haven't picked up a paper copy of the Devotional you can pick it up at the office or go to www.sharethejourney.ca under the events tab.
We’re excited for Christmas, enjoying the Christmas Journey and looking forward to the special online Christmas Eve service!
The fall season is in full swing. We love being able to gather In-Person and online! If you plan to join us In-Person, please preregister on our website and be sure to read our prevention plan.
Faith Baptist Church Live
We are Wayne & Valerie Priest from Belmont and probably one of the oldest couples who are members of FBC. We first joined FBC in 1988 and enjoyed working with the youth in both our areas. The Lord then led us back to Belmont to serve Him in our own community but in 2006 brought us back home to FBC again, and here we have been ever since. Although you may not have seen us in person much since Wayne developed Alzheimers, we still love being part of this family. We serve Jesus... with our prayers and finances, and are honoured to support two children in Honduras. Fortunately there are many ways to still serve Jesus and His Kingdom through our church family even though we cannot physically attend the services. I’ve belonged to the Tuesday Night Ladies Group for a few years and I am very thankful for their support. Through this giving group, I have been able to participate in some of their outreaches even when I am unable to attend. I pray for needs mentioned, and so many times they have been there to pray for me. Before Covid 19 came along we were already isolated somewhat with Wayne’s disease, limited to where we could go, but Covid has certainly added to our precautions. Wayne is at the point now that he has a hard time understanding a message. He still enjoys worshipping Jesus through music though, and occasionally sings me a song. I find the Sunday service online very beneficial. It’s nice to see all the new and young faces added to the church, as well as the great messages from our pastors. When a caregiver or a family member stays with Wayne some afternoons, I also look forward to meeting up with Joyce Wooley and other Christian ladies that she brings together for fellowship. One of many verses that mean a lot to me is 2 Corinthians 1:4 "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God." I am so thankful for FBC folks and the encouragement they have been to me over the years, and who continue to be there for me whether in person or online.
Our pastors work hard each day to lift up our church family and our communities through life's trials and triumphs. This year our community suffered Canada's worst mass shooting amid a global pandemic and although our church building was closed, our pastors continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes. Please support our 3 pastors and their families in prayer each day for the selfless work they do.

Jesus IS the way, the truth, and the life! Do you believe this? For the full video go to www.youtube.com/c/faithbaptistchurch-gv
This Celebration Sunday Steve walks us through Luke 19. Our focus is on verses 28-44 which is traditionally referred to as ‘The Triumphal Entry’, but as usual, the context is critical. It’s a pretty exciting day when Jesus comes to town! A lot of people are dancing with joy. But not everyone. And what about when Jesus comes right to your house? If Jesus showed up at your door, would you be expecting His company? Would you receive Him? And do you realize your future totally depends upon the truthful answer to that very question? Join us online or In-Person this Sunday. Be sure to preregister on our website to attend In person.
Did you know... We had the awesome privilege of hosting an incredible event earlier this summer. Some of our very own church, in cooperation with the local RCMP, were able to serve kids of Portipique with a fun day of soccer baseball! Thank you @rcmpgrcpolice
Our first In-Person gathering was a success! We’re so thankful for the dedicated team who make our online and in-person gatherings happen! Be sure to register if you plan on attending in-person next Sunday. You can do so on our app or website.
In case you haven’t heard, our very own Alex White is receiving the inaugural Nova Scotia Strong Award! This new award is now part of the Provincial Volunteer Awards program that has been running for the past 46 years. The new Nova Scotia Strong Award is for an individual or group who came together to demonstrate how resilient and compassionate Nova Scotians are. Recipients will show that strength comes from our community and the deep level of caring Nova Scotians have for ...one another This legacy award was born, from the thoughtful actions (of the group that Alex was part of) in organizing the Nova Scotia Remembers Vigil, an online tribute to the 22 Nova Scotians who were lost in the tragic events of April 18th and 19th of this year. Well done Alex White! We’re very proud of you. The ceremony with the presentations is being live steamed on Facebook. Here is the link. https://www.facebook.com/NOVASCOTIACULTURE/videos/251831799524304/
Hi Church Family! I'm Vicki and the beautiful pooch is Eva. I have been attending FBC regularly for about the last 10 years, with Eva by my side for the last 5. We've been trying to keep things as normal as possible since Covid-19 restrictions came into effect. Our biggest hurdle is the masks. Eva wasn't trained around them so we are now working on that. She's ok for the most part but doesn't seem to like the darker ones. So if you see us and she hides behind me, or stan...ds in front of me like a barrier, it's likely the mask. She's come a long way and doesn't immediately try and get the mask off me anymore, lol. A lot has happened in 2020. Some of it very tragic. It's very easy to feel alone and lost at times. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. I've been reading this verse a lot, reminds me I'm not alone, He's here with me. God bless! Vicki & Eva
We’re so thankful for our dedicated team. The In-Person gathering trial went very well last Sunday! Looking forward to welcoming you online and in-person this Sunday Be sure to preregister on our website or app!

Who’s ready for the next sermon in our ‘End of the Beginning’ series? In John 11, Jesus doesn’t initially do what we thought he’d do... was he late on purpose? Was it the end for Lazarus, or just the beginning? What are you begging God to do that He doesn’t seem to be doing? Join us in-person or online, this Sunday at 10:30AM. Joining in-person? Be sure to preregister now, on our app or website. There are 29 spots left at the moment!
Our In-Person Gatherings are back this Sunday, September 27th! Please watch and share this video! If you wish to attend our in-person gathering this Sunday, be sure to preregister at sharethejourney.ca or on our church app. Take a moment to read our prevention plan on the front page of our website. We look forward to seeing you online or in-person this Sunday!
Jesus is not your last resort. He is your only way, your only truth, and your only life. Are you standing on the rock in this life? To watch the full service go to our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/c/faithbaptistchurch-gv
In John 6, Jesus turns up the level of discomfort with some tough teaching for His followers. He values commitment, we tend to value comfort. Are we in it for Jesus or the benefits He offers? This is a brand new series highlighting Jesus’ final journey to the Cross. Is it the end, or just the beginning? Join us online this Sunday at 10:30AM. This service will serve as a trial for in-person gatherings which will begin on Sunday, September 27th, Lord willing. Please take a moment to read our Prevention Plan on the home page of our website, sharethejourney.ca. If you’re interested in volunteering for our Sunday in-person gatherings, reach out to us now!
