The hill training starts. Only thing is that there are no Rocky Mountains to train on, so I will have to settle for local hills. Start date is planned for April 12, 2021 from Victoria. Check out FalloRick.com for the donation link and more details.

One of the many fuel stops on our trial RV trip for next year, before crossing into Alberta and heading for the perfect storm (we managed to avoid it). Now into the mountains. Loving every minute of it. FalloRick Home to Home is postponed until Spril 2021. The web site FalloRick.com and donation link are still active.

We were ready to start tomorrow, April 13th from Victoria BC. But, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the FalloRick Home to Home run has been delayed until April 2021. The Donation link on the Web Site, FalloRick.com will stay active during this uncertain time. Please stay safe and healthy by staying home and keep physical distance from others. If you are able, get out for your physical excercise while keeping safe distance from others. Happy Easter and Happy Running.

Dear Running Community, Followers and the General Public, THE LATEST UPDATE FOR THE START OF THE FalloRick Home to Home Run. The unprecedented times continue. COVID-19 continues to impact individuals, communities, provinces and countries around the world. My thoughts are with all individuals personally affected, the medical professionals and the dedicated individuals working in the essential trades and businesses while we work hard to get through this.... For personal safety and the safety of everyone involved, it has been decided to delay the start date by at least 2 weeks. I will continue monitoring the situation and keep everyone informed when a new start date is planned. It is still planned to complete the Home to Home run from "Mile 0" in Victoria BC, for Make-A-Wish Canada and Childhood Cancer Canada, but the starting date will depend on when it becomes safe, not only for myself, but for all those around me. . It is difficult to see other events around the world cancelled or postponed. We should all stand behind organizers who are making tough decisions to protect the health of athletes and the public in general. It is also difficult to see retailers and service providers suffering as they manage through their own impacts. I encourage all who can to get outside and put one foot in front of the other to get out, keeping in mind social and physical distancing for the sake of everyone. Excercise is a source of positive energy, and we want to put as much of that energy into the world as possible when people are ready for it. Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions. Rick Fall FalloRick Home to Home [email protected] FalloRick.com

Dear Running Community and the General Public, We are in unprecedented times. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact communities around the world, my thoughts are with all individuals personally affected and the medical professionals dedicated to their care. To help flatten the curve of the virus, the Beer and Burger fundraising event scheduled for April 9th in Duncan BC has been cancelled. However, it is still planed to start the run Home to Home, April 13th from... "Mile 0" in Victoria BC at 8:00 am, keeping in mind to avoid large gatherings and close contact with others. It is difficult to see running and other events around the world cancelled. We should all stand behind organizers who are making tough decisions to protect the health of the running community and the public in general. It is also difficult to see retailers and service providers suffering as they manage through their own impacts. I encourage all who can to get outside and put one foot in front of the other, as we know it will make your day better. Running is a source of positive energy, and we want to put as much of that energy into the world as possible when people are ready for it. Rick Fall FalloRick Home to Home FalloRick.com

Thank you to all who came out to the fundraiser dinner in support of Make-A-Wish and Childhood Cancer. And a huge thank you to all who donated items to the event. In the end we raised nearly $10,000 (and still counting) which will be split 50/50 between the two foundations. We are exited to get going and start the RUN. . April 13th 8:00am PDT (11:00 Sault Ste. Marie time) is when it will get under way. Please continue with support and FalloRick along the way. ... See more
