Nithya has a large head due to her previously uncontrolled hydrocephalus. When she came to FFC she could not sit or hold up her head. After years of physiotherapy, she now not only holds up her head but sits steadily on the floor or in a chair and participates in daily yoga at our Special Education School! Kalai Arasi names fruit & vegetables in FFC’s Special Education school. Now 11, she was found at age 7 abandoned in the streets of Coimbatore. At that time she couldn’t walk or speak but look at her now! She has had physiotherapy and now not only walks, but runs and loves to dance Happily, she has also been reunited with her father who comes to visit her, especially on holidays and her birthday. I case you have a hard time understanding her, Kalai Arasi is naming bringal, chili, bitter gourd, bean, tomato, radish & papaya!
