Itty Bitty Art Time is returning in April!
The Warfield Food Advisory Committee (WFAC) is in place to increase food production, share knowledge about growing locally and supporting nature’s pollinators. ... We are placing planters throughout the Village of Warfield to plant organic fruits and vegetables. All excess produce will go to the local Food Bank. We will also be providing FREE workshops for anyone who wants to learn more about gardening! However, we cannot do this alone! We need like-minded community members who are willing to volunteer their time to create a greener Warfield. There are opportunities to ‘adopt’ a bed, grow a pollinator patch and much more. If you want to get involved, or have any questions please email us: [email protected] We look forward to meeting you
Only two spots left. Registration is now open for our local BIG WORRIES...LITTLE PEOPLE online child centered two-part workshop. This workshop is open to all families located within the Lower Columbia Region with children between the ages of 3 and 7. It is facilitated by Ava Clark MA, RCC at www.avaclarkcounselling.com and hosted by the Family Action Network. The workshops will discuss what worries are and ways to support healthy coping skills. Ava will be speaking to the chi...ldren directly in the workshop and caregivers are asked to be present to support and learn alongside their children. The workshops will be held via zoom: April 7 - 4:00 - 4:30 pm: Part 1 - Introduction to Big Worries and calming the body. April 14 - 4:00 - 4:30pm: Part 2 - More Strategies and Tools for Kids to cope with Big Worries. Each session will be 20 minutes of child centered workshop time and then 10 minutes for questions. Along with this workshop we will be offering a Big Worries Support Kit for children to be delivered right to your door! This kit will include a helpful book, mental health resource list, art, and some toys that can be used as supports when working through big worries. If you are family located within the Lower Columbia Region, and would like to register, please go to familyactionnetwork.ca and click the registration button.
