September 9th is International FASD Awareness Day. Bells are rung in every time zone from New Zealand to Alaska as people around the world gather to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking during pregnancy and the struggles of individuals and families living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). FACS Niagara is pleased to support FASD Awareness Day which takes place on September 9th, the ninth day of the ninth month of the year, reminding us that during the nine months of pregnancy a woman should abstain from alcohol.
