Family Dental Care Alliston is happy to announce that we will be opening for normal clinical practices starting Monday, June 8th. Dr. Daniel and Cheryl has been working hard to help patients in pain during the shutdown since March. We are very excited and eager to expand our scope of practice for regular checkups and cleanings starting June 8th :)

We have secured some proper PPEs to treat a few of our emergency patients. The office is open on for emergency treatment ONLY on Mondays between 11am 4pm by appointment only. We will not accept walk-ins, and you do require a phone triage, and an email disclosure before you enter our office. ... Please leave a voicemail, or send us an email to [email protected] if you are experiencing a dental emergency. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you can be seen, we will only treat ‘true dental emergencies’, mandated by RCDSO. I thank you kindly for your understanding, if we cannot see you at this time. Emails and voicemails will be checked regularly, and I assure you I will try my best to help you within the restrictions if you cannot be seen.

Dear Patients, this is Daniel from Family Dental Care Alliston. I am very sorry, and regrettably informing you that the office is now closed due to a lack of N95 masks, and will be only be able to help emergency patients remotely through consults and prescriptions. DO NOT go to the hospital unless you have a life threatening issue such as airway obstruction, or severe trauma.... If you do have a dental emergency, please email us at [email protected] or leave a voicemail. I will be able to provide you with a triage, consult, advice and a list of dental offices that have the proper PPEs to help you. All appointments on the weeks of March 23, 30 and 6th are cancelled. It is very hard for us to tell patients in need that we are closed. However due to the virus being infectious during asymptomatic periods, the proximity of dentist to patient, and possibility of aerosolization of infectious particles, we are convinced that closing the office minimizes the risk of endangering our patients. We have shared 400 masks, and 12000 gloves to Stevenson Memorial Hospital to help our frontline workers. Thank you for your brave efforts. Thank you to those in the first line of defence at Stevenson Memorial Hospital. Thank you our local pharmacists, and pharmacies. Thank you to our essential service team such as police officers, firefighters, paramedics, personal support workers and people who are working in essential retail stores. We would like to help our community by minimizing unnecessary contact with our patients, maximizing triaging and directing dental problems over the phone, and lessening the burden on our already stressful medical system. Let us curb the spread of this virus by exercising social distancing.

Due to the strict mandate of RCDSO (our governing body) suspending all non-emergency dental treatments, we are severely restricting who we are treating as emergency patients. We are cancelling all appointments for the weeks of March 23rd, and March 30th, unless you were already contacted to be treated. We regrettably are announcing that due to increased COVID19 measures, we will be postponing any non-essential and non-emergency dental treatment for a few weeks, as mandated by our governing body, RCDSO. We will only be able to see patients if they are experiencing dental emergencies as recommended by the college. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience it may cause, and help us in curbing the spread of COVID19.
