This month’s Toronto Life magazine features an article entitled Death at Rattlesnake Point about a horrifically toxic child custody battle that ended in tragedy. Justice Brownstone’s book Tug of War is quoted at p.66. It’s good to see that this useful and unique book is still providing much-needed advice to separated parents in conflict.

Finally, the poignant and compelling memoir by Edie Windsor has been published! Read all about this LGBT icon's amazing life (did you know she was the first female executive at IBM?). Justice Brownstone officiated at Edie's wedding in Toronto, which triggered her lawsuit against the US government, paving the way for same-sex marriage in the US. Justice Brownstone had an emotional reunion in New York this week with same-sex marriage icon Edith Windsor, who took on the US government in the Supreme Court and brought down the Defence of Marriage Act. Here he is with Edie and her spouse, Judith Kasen.
