Meet our ND Students this term! Introducing Katarzyna Podolska Katarzyna Podolska is a 4th year Naturopathic Medical Intern at The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Not only is she a full time student, but a single mom of two young children, and a student representative for Bioforce Canada. Katarzyna graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Language and Cultural Studies (Spanish/Polish). In her spare time she enjoys workin...g with botanicals and creating herbal medicine, gardening, playing the piano, painting, and cooking. Although many obstacles stood in her way, Katarzyna has never given up on her dream of become a Naturopathic Doctor. She chose Naturopathic Medicine because it is the perfect blend of simple traditional ways of healing combined with modern medicine. Her journey through the program has been life changing and incredibly fulfilling. Katarzyna has a passion for helping people feel better. She loves using hands on treatments such as acupuncture, cupping, soft tissue work, as well as nutrition and herbal medicine. She has a particular interest in dermatology and medical aesthetics. Only one more clinic shift for these students (and Dr. Julia Christensen) until our Summer break! The FNC takes a brief break from June 15th until September when we resume our regular schedule. The Family Naturopathic Clinic is thrilled to announce that we will be offering Chiropractic services as of March 2019! Dr Ken Alexander will be joining our team once a month to provide patients with Chiropractic Care. Dr Alexander studied Kinesiology for his undergraduate, studying at both the University of the Fraser Valley and the Memorial University of Newfoundland. From there, he went to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College to obtain his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Ken... has seen great improvements in health through manual therapy, rehabilitative exercises, and positive lifestyle change. He believes that each and every person is different; therefore each treatment he provides is specifically tailored to each individual. We are looking forward to having Dr Alexander offer these services as an additional support for young, low-income families in Victoria!
