Hi, my name is Cheeto. I currently live with my foster family and I am looking for a forever home. Some of my favourite things include napping and cuddling next... to my family or in to a blanket or bed. When I first arrived at my foster home I was shy. After a few weeks, I came out of my shell in a big way, and I've even come to love the two big dogs I live with! If you want to add love and Cuddles to your life, I'm your guy! For more information about Cheeto or to schedule a meeting please call us at 905-885-4131.

HELP URGENTLY NEEDED TO FOSTER DOGS AT RISK. If you follow our page, you know that the bulk of the dogs we save are from northern Manitoba. You may wonder why. ... Right now, in a number of northern remote areas, there are dog shoots taking place. The reason for dog culls is because these communities are experiencing an over population issue. Too many dogs and not enough food results in trouble. Dogs get desperate, start running in packs and this makes it unsafe for humans to even venture outside. Because these areas are so remote, they don’t have access to veterinarians. Dogs don’t get sterilized. Mamas are having babies under decks, in holes they’ve dug. Babies freeze to death or are killed by predators. Life is tough for these animals and then a dog cull is ordered. It doesn’t matter if the dog is a new mama or pregnant. They have to get the population in check. This is one of the reasons we help these dogs. They deserve a chance at life. A life with a family. A life that includes a couch, warm place to rest, a bowl with food in it. If you have ever met a Manitoba dog you already know the amazing temperament of them. And this is why we help Northern dogs. Because they are amazing and so deserving. We are working with a couple of partners in Manitoba to help as many of these dogs as we can. If you are interested in helping out by fostering, we’d love to hear from you. Please see our website: https://animalguardian.org/how-to-help/foster/

ADOPTED! We are seeking a foster or foster-to-adopt home for this lil' sweetie-pie. We are still working on managing her allergies and as such, will only place ...her in a foster-to-adopt capacity if someone was interested in adopting this little house hippo. She does need a home without other animals, but does promise to bring enough happiness and joy that you'll not want for more. Please share and read up on what this little hippo has to offer to see if she could be right for you. If you are interested in fostering or fostering with the intention of adoption, please complete the foster form here: https://sitwithme.ca/foster-form/ Bindi Bulldog mix (~60lbs) Female 4 years old Dogs: No, thank you. Cats: No, thank you. Kids: She likes kids but would rather be an only child;) Ideally older kids in the home or fine to just visit kids. Housing Type: Townhome or detached please! Fenced in yard: Ideally, yes. Medical: Allergies that require medication and a strict specialized food. This helps manage them though she still has set backs at times. Bathing and a medicated spray also help her feel better. Bindi is a sweet, gentle girl. She’s a sensitive soul who will become very attached to her human counterparts. She has environmental/food allergies which require her people to be attentive to things she is exposed to. She loves being at home and sunbathing around the house, finding the perfect spot to catch some rays. Bindi is a lovely dog who enjoys the simple things in life.... food, naps, play time, walks and most importantly cuddles. Bindi is a social being who craves human attention and approval. She can enjoy alone time but will need regular practice at self-soothing. Bindi will ignore other dogs at a distance as long as they appear to be ‘under control’ and she isn’t required to share the limelight. She is still working on walking passed other dogs when on leash. We will support a foster or foster-to-adopt home with a training session to ensure they start on the right path with her. While not required, Bindi would love to go a home where someone is often at home or where she can have a break at lunch for a quick walk and cuddle. She is crate trained and should he confined to a small area when her new people aren’t home as she still has a puppy side that can sniff out mischief when you are not watching! Bindi has become accustomed to regular baths and will now climb in the tub on her own as long as you’re patient. She celebrates a clean body by running, rolling and joyfully throwing herself around the house or commonly known as ‘the zoomies’. Bindi lives to make you happy, and will try her best to please you which in turn makes you want nothing more than to make her feel loved. Little Miss Bindi is eager to meet new people. We recommend when new people come in to crate her and ignore until she calms down, and then introduce, as this has significantly improved her greeting manners. Bindi is the perfect dog for someone who is looking for a best friend and is okay with just one animal in their life. We hope Bindi find a foster, or foster-to-adopt home for Bindi so we can continue to support her while we sort through her allergies. She will brighten any home with her giant kisses and cuddles. If you are interested in fostering or fostering with the intention of adoption, please complete the foster form here: https://sitwithme.ca/foster-form/

We are looking for some help placing Juggy! We are still hoping and praying we can find a foster or foster-to-adopt home for this little goof. He is seeking to... hang as your bestie in your home (without pets or kids). He is such a sweet guy but behaves as the terrible fun police and so being in an adults-only home is required. His adoption process will come with in-home training sessions to set you up for success. Please share our boy so he can find a home and move out of boarding. Jughead Jones (Juggy) Bulldog mix 3.5 years Male Dogs: No Cats: No Kids: No thanks! Housing Type: Detached housing Fenced in yard: Ideal but not required Special Needs (please read carefully): Jughead has been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) and anxiety which often go hand in hand. These two conditions together makes it challenging to keep either at bay as one condition often exasperates the other. Along with a special diet, Juggy requires steroid medication from time to time to keep his gut happy. He is also on anti-anxiety medication to help reduce his overall anxiety which in turn helps prevent IBD flare ups. He also suffers from seasonal allergies which are well managed with medication. Recently, Juggy has exhibited some neurological symptoms which are exasperated by changes in his environment and/or routine. As such, we are seeking a long term foster to adopt placement for Jughead so we can continue to support his forever home while we help regulate his medical issues. A person who works from home or who is home more often is required. Jughead is part of our Recovery Adoption Dog Program and will come with training support from our team of experts. Each program is tailored to each individual dog to help ensure successful adoptions. Jughead's program will be a minimum of 4-6 months with the potential for longer as we continue to navigate and hopefully resolve or manage fully his ongoing health and behaviour issues. Juggy is a pretty awesome pooch. He is cuddly, ridiculously cute, and sincere in his appreciation for his people and their ability to give him belly rubs. He is all about kisses and celebrations when he sees his people. But please, continue reading as his happiness depends on finding the RIGHT placement. Jughead is a bit one track minded at times, eager to do what he wants and true to bulldog nature, he will knock ya over on the way. He is a goofy boy and puts on some great comedy routines to impress. The key thing for Juggy is he needs a calm and predictable life without the excitement of other animals or children. He swears he is a wonderful guy and once you have his love, you will feel like life is awfully wonderful. When it comes to other animals, he is just not at ease and will struggle to control their excitement levels, always over-correcting them unfairly. He can be confrontational in his corrections and while in his mind, he feels this is his obligation to make the world goes round, the easiest solution is to just avoid other animals. This is an absolute necessity for Jughead. Jughead wants to be a part of everything his person is doing and will be your absolute best buddy if you will allow him to play a part. An adult only home with some who works from home is ideal. A fenced in yard where he can interact with his person without the stimulation of neighbouring animals would be fantastic. He can enjoy walks but really loves his playtime and interaction with his person best. Medically, Jughead is still working out his gastrointestinal issues. He underwent a blockage removal surgery and has since been having trouble gaining weight and staying regular. These issues are being medically managed but have not completely resolve. Furthermore, our training team has noted some neurological-type behaviours (spinning and light chasing) for which we are seeking a Neurologist's medical opinion. This is why we are seeking a sanctuary type solution for this hunk, so we can continue to help level out his symptoms while also giving him a chance at falling in love and getting used to his new life. This is also why someone home more often is ideal, so he can be let out when needed and monitored fairly regularly. He is clean in the home and will ask to go out, but struggles when crated and requires an indestructible crate (provided). Anyone who meets Jughead in a calm setting falls immediately in love. He does have some life management needs to be happy, but he is truly hoping someone who is a fan of the bulldog type personality will see that he is worth it all. If you feel you could give Jughead the life he needs, please fill out an application: https://www.sitwithme.ca/dogs/jughead-jones/ or if you are only interested in fostering and meet his needs, fill out a foster form here: https://www.sitwithme.ca/foster/application/
