The Town of Goderich is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for leasing retail space at the waterfront to create a mechanism to promote our small businesses a...t the waterfront. The goal is to gauge the demand for leasing space and to determine the feasibility of proceeding with the development of a larger waterfront retail space(s) in the future. The Town of Goderich is looking for interest from 4-6 Goderich retail businesses and 2 Goderich passive (Stand up paddle boarding, Surf, Kayak etc.) recreation businesses. The location of the waterfront retail space will be situated on the North side of the Rotary Beach Hut. The waterfront retail spaces will be made available from June 14 to September 6, 2021, with hours from 10 AM to 4 PM, at a minimum. The passive recreation spaces will be discussed between the Town and business prior to choosing. These spaces will be approx. 100 square feet with wifi as the only service provided. The businesses will need to provide their own tables, shelves and display materials. Each Proponent shall submit one (1) electronic copy of their Submission through this online form (No paper forms will be accepted). Hi everyone, I am wondering if anyone has any connections to local farmers? I am looking for farmers who GREW and DID NOT GROW a cover crop in 2020. I also keen... to hear from cover crop skeptics! We have not heard from many and its important their voice be heard. I am a PhD student at the University of Manitoba who is investigating cover cropping in Ontario. They can reduce erosion, lower the amount of nitrogen reaching our lakes and rivers, promote biodiversity, and build carbon in the soil. I believe it is important to include farms from all regions of Ontario. I am reaching out to local networks to ensure farmers in all regions have an equal chance of participate and sharing their story. We have now heard from 510 respondents and are trying to keep the momentum going so we can best represent the whole picture of cover cropping in Ontario.
